i have done engineering from electrical and electronics with 78%. i was recruited by TCS through their campus placement program in 2008. firstly i wanted to join the company. but after completing my studies in may 2009 i came to know that joinings will be delayed this year and preference will be given to CS\IT people. now it is confirmed that non CS\IT people will not get their joining before feb or march. i feel like cheated as i have wasted such valuable time after my graduation. can u suggest me something what to do under these circumstances?? also i wanted to know about University of petroleum and Energy studies. is it a good university for doing M.tech in energy system and power areas??

Hi there, Don't be disheartened by this bitter first experience! Learn to take it in your stride as such occurences are common in today's time of recession and economic slowdowns. I think it would be best for you to apply for jobs and try to join someplace else. If that doesn't workout till Feb or March 2010, you can always join TCS. All the best!
