WBSEDCL & WBSETCL invite applications from gradutes for the post of Assistants.

SCALE OF PAY : Rs. 6,300/- – 20,200/- + Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-.
CURRENT GROSS PAY (APPROX.) : Rs. 14,000/- per month.

NO. OF POSTS : 530 (WBSEDCL – 500 & WBSETCL – 30).

Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed certificate course/any other courses on computer OR
3 year full time Bachelor Degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a recognised University with 50% marks in aggregate OR
Bachelor Degree in Science with honours in Statistics from a recognised University with 50% marks in aggregate OR
Bachelor Degree in any stream with Computer Application/Computer Science as a Pass Subject with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University.

Upper age limit: 27 years as on 01.01.2010 with relaxation for SC & ST candidates for 5 years

Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of performance at Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test and Interview.

How to apply: Candidates have to apply through on-line registration system of WBSEDCL.
applying on-line, candidate should have the following particulars readily available:
1. E-mail ID
2. Non refundable Crossed demand draft / Bankers Cheques of Rs.250/- as processing and Examination fees. SC/ST candidates from the state of West Bengal are exempted from processing and examination fees.
3. Upon successful submission download the Registration Slip and take a print-out of the same and paste a recent passport size photograph,  photograph should be self-attested and attach the following documents:-

• Demand Draft / Banker’s Cheque of Rs. 250/- (As Applicable)
• Self Attested Copies of Caste Certificate for the Candidates of State of West Bengal.
• Self Attested Copy of Mark sheet of last Qualifying Examination (HS / Graduation).
• Self Attested Copy of Pass Certificate / Mark Sheet of Computer Courses.
• Self Attested Copy of Age Proof documents like (Madhyamik Admit Card / Certificate).
• The original Registration Slip along with the baove must be sent to The Avertiser, Post Bag No 08, General Post Office, Kolkata – 700 001.
