Pay Scale: PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs.5400 + Military Service Pay Rs.4200 + Kit allowance Rs.400 + other allowances.
Eligibility:
B.Sc.(Nursing), Post Certificate B.Sc.(Nursing), M.Sc.Nursing qualification from a recognised university. You could be a registered nurse and midwife from state nursing council. You must be female, and you could be married/ unmarried/ divorcee or widow.
Age: 21-35 years as on April 30, 2010
Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be called for a written test to be conducted at Base Hospital Delhi Cantt in the first week of April 2010. Based on the merit in the written test, the required number of qualified candidates will be called for an interview on the next day by a board of officers at the office of the DGAFMS, Ministry of Defence, M Block, New Delhi for final assessment and selection for grant of SSC in Military Nursing Service. Candidates qualifying in the interview will be subjected to medical examination on the third day.
Employability: Candidates selected for grant of SSC in the MNS will be liable to serve for 5 years extendable to total tenure of 14 years.

(a) Promotion of Short Service Commission Nursing Officers is as under:

Capt - 5 years of reckonable commissioned service
maj - 12 years of reckonable commissioned service
(b) Promotion for permanent commission Nursing Officers is as under:
