Eligibility: Passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Maths & English as main subjects with minimum 55% ( 50% for SC/ST/OBC) aggregate marks in Maths & Physics.
Note: For General candidates possessing higher qualification with Maths and Physics as subjects, minimum qualifying Aggregate marks in Maths & Physics in 10+2 are 50%.
In case SC/ST and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.
Age: Minimum 17 years at the time of joining the course.
Training fee: Rs.24.60 Lacs payable in four installments.
Boarding & Lodging: Hostel accommodation within the campus on twin sharing basis (Separate for Boys & Girls) and Messing is provided on a monthly charges of approximately Rs. 5000/- per month.
Selection Process: Selection procedure consists of Written Test, Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT), Viva and Interview in the following manner:-
a) Written Test: At allotted centers (Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Lucknow, Mumbai).
b) Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT): To be conducted at Delhi, for candidates from Delhi and neighboring states and for other candidates at IGRUA, Raebareli.
Note: Minimum qualifying marks for Pilot Aptitude Test are 70%. No relaxation in marks will be given for SC/ST/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude Test.
c) Interview/ Viva: Interview and viva for all successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude Test will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli.
How to apply: Application should be submitted in prescribed format. The following documents are required along with the application form:-
a) Self Attested Copy of Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC).
b) Three self-attested recent passport size photographs.
c) Non-refundable Application fee Rs. 3,500/- by Demand Draft in favour of ‘Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi’ drawn on any nationalized/ scheduled Bank and payable at Delhi.
d) Only SC/ST candidates are exempted for payment of application fee.
Important Dates:
- Last date for receipt of application is 08th April 2010
- Written Test to be held on 16th May, 2010 (Sunday) at 10:30 hrs onwards
- Result of Written Test and schedule of Pilot Aptitude Test/ Interviews will be available at IGRUA website after 24th May 2010
- Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT) to be conducted at Delhi 01st June 2010 onwards
- Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT) to be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from 21st June, 2010
- Interview and viva to be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from 21st June, 2010.
