  • EVEN in the height of winter or blazing summer, men in uniform keep eternal vigil on the borders, helping you and me sleep in peace. Yes, they are from the central police forces, which guard the borders and vital installations.

If you want to join as an officer in BSF, CRPF or the ITBP, Central Police Forces Examination (Asst. Commandants) is the right one  for you. The CPF Exam is followed by a Physical Standards/Efficiency Test & Medical Standards Test conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Finally, the Interview/Personality Test is conducted by the UPSC for the  shortlisted candidates.

    Eligibility:

The minimum educational qualification is a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent. The prescribed Physical or Medical Standards have to be met by the candidates. Those with NCC 'B' or 'C' certificates are given consideration at the time of interview/ personality test (see table).
