About the Master's programme Fellowship:
- Two years of Rotary-funded graduate study toward a Master’s degree.
- Training in the root causes of conflict, theories of international relations, and effective models of cooperation, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
- A growing network of committed alumni employed around the world in diplomacy, government, non-governmental organisations and private corporations.
- Those already working in the field of peace and conflict studies may opt for the three-month professional development certificate programme at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
About the Professional Development Certificate Fellowship
- It will be conducted in one centre, one university: Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand
- Two sessions per year (January to April and June to August)
- Two to three weeks of field studies incorporated in curriculum
- Aim: Strenghten leaders of today
Eligibility:
- A strong commitment to international understanding and peace demonstrated through professional and academic achievements and personal and community service activities.
- A bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience as a minimum, with strong academic achievement.
- A minimum of three years’ combined paid or unpaid full-time relevant work experience (master’s degree) or five years’ relevant work experience with current full-time employment in a mid-to upper-level position (professional development certificate).
- Proficiency in a second language (Master’s degree) or in English (professional development certificate)
- Strong leadership skills.
Selection procedure:
Those applying, need to find the nearest local Rotary Club by using the Club Locator tool on the Rotary International website. Individual Rotary clubs initially screen and select fellowship applications to forward to the district level and then finally to the world level for competition. The Foundation will inform candidates and districts about final selection decisions in November.
