1. Management Trainees

(a) Technical:

Total no of posts: 14 (7-Gen; 2-SC; 1-ST; 4-OBC)

Eligibility: Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/ technology from a recognized Indian University/ Institute with minimum 60% of marks in the aggregate of all years/ semesters (50% in aggregate for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) in the disciplines of  Mechanical/ Mech. Marine  EEE/ ECE/ Instrumentation/ Naval architecture/ Computer Science Engineering

(b) Finance - 3  (2 - GEN, 1-OBC)

Eligibility: Graduate with a pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India. Familiarity with computerized systems is desirable.

(c) HR:

No. of posts: 2 (1- OBC, 1-SC) 

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline with post graduate degree or diploma course of 2 years duration in HRM or MBA with specialization in HR.

Degree in Law will be an added advantage.

(d) ACS Trainee
 
No. of post: 1 (GEN)

Eligibility: Final passed candidates of Institute of Company Secretaries of India

Conditions applicable to Managment Trainees:
  • Age: General candidates - 25 years, OBC - 28 years, SC/ST/PH  - 30 years as on May 1, 2010
  • Duration of training: 1 year
  • Stipend during training: Consolidated stipend of Rs.15,000 (all inclusive) per month.
  • Pay Scale & designation after completion of training: Rs. 16,400 – 40,500 and absorbed in E1 grade

2. Junior Draughtsman Trainees -

Total no. of post: 15  (8 - Gen, 3 - OBC, 2 - SC, 1-ST,1-PH)

Eligibility: Full-time regular diploma in engineering from a recognized institute with minimum 60% of marks in the aggregate of all years/ semesters (50% in aggregate for SC/ST/PH candidates) in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

Age: 25 years General candidates, 28 years OBC candidates;  30 years for SC/ST/PH candidates as on May 1, 2010.

Duration of training : 1 year

Stipend during training: Consolidated stipend of Rs.7,500 (all inclusive) per month.

Pay scale, designation after completion of training: Junior Draughtsmen in the scale of Rs. 5400-140-8760 (pay scale under revision) 


3. General Manager (Production)
    No. of post: 1 (GEN) 

    Eligibility:

  • Graduate in mechanical/ electrical/ marine engineering/ Naval architecture/ MOT I class certificate in diesel and steam.
  • In-depth experience in ship-building/ ship repair and construction of offshore structures/ platforms and naval vessels.
  • Knowledge of modern concepts of shipbuilding, marine practices, marine law and MOT and classification rules and regulations pertaining to Ship construction/repair are essential.
  • Experience in liaisoning with various marine classification societies like Lloyds, ABS, IRS and certification authorities conducting technical audits like ISO etc., besides in-depth knowledge of various sophisticated welding procedures/NDT Techniques.


4. Deputy General Manager (Outfit Complex)
    No. of post:  1 (SC) 

    Eligibility:

  • Graduate in mechanical/ electrical/ marine engineering/ naval architecture/ MOT I Class certificate in diesel and steam. 
  • In-depth experience in ship-building/ ship repair and construction of offshore structures/ platforms and naval vessels.
  • Knowledge of modern concepts of shipbuilding, marine practices, marine law and MOT and classification rules and regulations pertaining to Ship construction/repair are essential.

5. Deputy General Manager (Legal)

  No. of post:  1(GEN)

Eligibility:

  • Graduate in any discipline with a degree in Law. 
  • In-depth experience in executing contracts, arbitration cases, insurance laws & service law matters. 
  • Well conversant with all industrial laws, law of evidence, civil laws and able to guide the corporate management in such matters.

Condition applicable to General Managers:
  • Age – Below 50 years. However, the age limit may be relaxed by 5 years in case of exceptionally qualified/ experienced candidates.
     
  • Experience – At least 20 years experience with not less than 8 years at senior managerial position of which 3 years should be in the pay scale of Rs.36,600 – 62,000 ( Rs.17,500-400-22,300- Pre-revised scale) in PSUs with IDA pattern or equivalent scales. 
     
  • Total emoluments at the minimum will be Rs. 69,499 in the GM pay scale of Rs.43,200 - 66,000. (Revised from 01.01.2007)

 

Condition applicable to General Managers:
  • Age – Below 48 years. However, the age limit may be relaxed by 5 years in case of exceptionally qualified/ experienced candidates.
     
  • Experience – Should have at least 16 years experience with not less than 6 years at senior managerial position of which 2 years should be in the 
    pay scale of Rs.32,900 – 58,000 ( Rs.16,000-400-20,800- Pre-revised scale) in PSUs with IDA pattern or equivalent scales. 
  • Total emoluments at the minimum will be Rs. 59,282 in the DGM Pay scale of Rs.36,600-62,000 (Revised from 01.01.2007)

6. Manager (Finance)/ Deputy Manager (Finance)/ Senior Accounts Officer
 
No. of Posts: 3 (2- Gen, 1- OBC)

Eligibility:
 

  • Graduate with a pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India.
  • 12 years post qualification experience out of which 2 years in the immediate lower grade for Manager, 6 years post qualification experience out of which 2 years in the immediate lower grade for Deputy Manager and 4 years post qualification experience out of which 2 years in the immediate lower grade for Senior Accounts Officer in a large Industrial organization.

Exposure in funds management/ taxation preferable. Familiarity with computerized systems is desirable.

7. Manager (Purchase) 

No. of posts - 1(OBC)

Eligibility:
 

  • Graduate in mechanical/ electrical engineering preferably with MBA.
  • 12 years post qualification experience out of which 2 years in the immediate lower grade.
  • Capable of independently handling all the relevant activities viz., Development of Vendor Base indigenously & Globally, instituting, operating and monitoring of performance based vendor analysis, procurement of sophisticated Ship borne equipment, sound knowledge of import policy, Custom, FE Regulations and dealing with DGS&D, RBI etc.
  • In-house will be responsible for instituting latest material management techniques and on-line monitoring of stocks for identification of non-moving and surplus inventory items and liquidating idle stocks by evolving alternative uses in consultation with design/ planning departments for optimum utilization of stocks and reduction of redundancy in material procurement. 
  • Familiar with e-tendering/ e-procurement and ERP systems in material management.


8. Executive Assistant to C& MD at E2 GRADE
No. of post: 1 (GEN)

Eligibility:

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Good communication and administrative skills with four years of experience in line out of which 2 years in the immediate lower grade. 
  • Experience for independently handling secretariat of a chief executive in a company of repute.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages with proficiency in Computer applications is a must.
  • Post Graduate in any discipline will be preferred.

Persons from Services holding the posts of Lieutenant or equivalent rank may also apply. Relevant rules as applicable to the recruitment of Ex-servicemen shall apply in such cases.

Conditions applicable to Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Engineers:
  • Age: Manager - Below 45 years, Deputy Managers - Below 40 years, Sr. Engineers (E2) & equivalents - 35 years (Relaxation of age and Experience will be allowed as per Government rules for SC/ ST/  OBC) 
  • Pay scale: Manager - Rs.29100 – 54,500 - Rs. 47,497, Dy. Manager - Rs.24,900 –50,500 - Rs. 40,295, Senior Engineer & Equivalents (E2) - Rs.20,600 – 46,500; Rs. 33,289/-
