Duration: 1 year
About: The course shall include a period of regular study of Traditional Yogic Texts, philosophy of Yoga, its application in human health.
On completion of the course a Certificate of “Diploma in Yoga Science” will be awarded to those candidates who are successful in both theory and practical examinations.
Eligibility: Degree in any discipline from a recognized University in India or abroad with minimum 40% of marks.
Age: Below 30 years as on 1.8.2012
Total seats: 115 for Indians (General-58, OBC-31, SC-17, ST-9) + 2 seats each for students from Andaman & Nicobar Islands and NE states + 1 for foreign student
Scholarship: Rs. 3,000/- per month each to 13 Indianmeritorious students (General-17, OBC-3, SC-2 and ST-1) based on their performance in the first Semester examination of the course.
Fellowships: Rs.8000/- pm to 2 students on merit basis from Andaman & Nicobar Island and North-East States.
Selection process: Will be on the basis of Merit-cum-Reservation
