INDIAN STATISTICAL INSTITUTE (ISI)
Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is a unique institution devoted to the research, teaching and application of Statistics, natural sciences and Social Sciences. The Headquarters of ISI is located in Kolkata. Additionally, there are two centres located in Delhi and Bangalore. Research in Statistics and related disciplines is the primary activity of the Institute. ISI conducts an all India entrance test for admission to various courses such as BStat, MStat, MSc, MTech in Computer Science and Junior research fellowships in various specialised fields of study. Prospectus and application form can be obtained from the offices of Indian Statistical Institute by post or in person by paying an amount of Rs. 450/-(Rs. 225/- only for reserved categories).
Eligibility: Successful completion of higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics and English.
Test pattern and selection: The admission test comprises two papers. The first paper is of objective type where as the second is descriptive type. The candidates are shortlisted after assessing their marks obtained in the entrance test. The candidates are then called for personal interview. Selection is based on merit, written test and Interview. Relaxation given to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates is as per govt. norms.
Those candidates who have cleared the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) Test that is conducted by the National Board for Higher Mathematics are not required to appear in the test and are therefore called for direct interview.

GITAM UNIVERSITY UG TEST (GAT UGT)
Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM was founded in 1980. GITAM University is a multi-disciplinary university offering varied courses in areas such as engineering, management and pharmacy. GITAM conducts the online UGT every year at more than 20 test centers in different cities for admission to BTech, BArch and 5-Year Integrated (BTech+MTech) programmes. Candidates can apply online or purchase the form for Rs. 1,000 (Rs. 600/- for women candidates) from designated branches of Union Bank of India and Indian Bank.
Eligibility: Minimum of 60% marks aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry in 10+2 (12th) examination from a recognized Central/State Board or its equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in a single attempt.

Test pattern and selection: The test is of 2 hours duration with three sections namely: Physics, Chemistry with 30 questions each and Mathematics/ Biology with 40 questions. All questions are of objective type (multiple-choice questions), choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark. No marks will be awarded for questions not attempted.
On completion of the test, the computer will display the result in terms of number of total correct answers and wrong answers, with the score. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained in GAT 2011.

JAMIA HAMDARD
Jamia Hamdard was established in 1989 by Late Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed, a physician who was the Founder-Chancellor of the university.
Faculty of Jamia Hamdard includes faculty of Science, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Management Studies, IT, Islamic Studies and Social Sciences. The university offers a number of courses in bachelor’s or undergraduate programmes, diploma programmes, postgraduate programmes and PhD/ doctoral programs. The application form is available for Rs. 300 from the university counter or it can be downloaded from the website.
Eligibility: A candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (12th Standard/Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Central Board of Secondary Education or any other recognized examination, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate

KALASALINGAM UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE
Kalasalingam University (formerly Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering -AKCE) is located 60 Kms south of Madurai and 10 Kms north of Srivilliputtur on Madurai–Senkottai Highway. It offers 9 UG and 17 PG courses in Engineering and courses in MBA, MCA & MSc. The application form is available for Rs. 800 or it can be downloaded from the website.
Eligibility: Candidates must have passed in 10+2 examination with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, from any recognized Board. The aspirants should not be more than 21 years old.

Test pattern and selection: The entrance test has questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus of 10+2 level. Admission will be on the basis of performance in the entrance examination of Kalasalingam University to be conducted at all India level in major cities of India and marks scored in the +2 examination. Merit list will be based on marks scored in10+2 (200 out of 300) and marks scored in the entrance examination (100 out of 300)

KLE UNIVERSITY ALL INDIA ENTRANCE TEST (KLEU AIET)
KLE University was established in 2006 and offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, Post-doctoral, fellowship and certificate programmes in the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy and Nursing. It has state-of-the-art teaching hospital and medical research centre having 1820 beds. KLE-UGAIET (Under Graduate All India Entrance Test) is conducted annually in order to undertake admission in the MBBS as well as BDS Course in the KLE University. The number of seats offered for the course of MBBS is 150 while the number of seats offered for BDS course is 100. The application form is available for Rs. 1,500 or it can be downloaded from the website.
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate in PCB as well as 50% marks in English.

KL University Engineering Entrance Exam (KLUEEE)
KLU was established as Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering in the year 1980 and affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. The college became autonomous in the year 2006 and from 2009 onwards it has become a ‘Deemed to be University’. KLU conducts KLUEEE every year for admission to BTech and Dual Degree Programmes (BTech+MTech and BTech+MBA). Candidates can apply online or offline for KLUEEE. The application form can be obtained by hand or post from the University or it can be downloaded from the website. The cost of the form is Rs. 800.
Eligibility: Candidate should have a minimum of 60% in 10+2 with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Students with 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are only eligible for BTech (Bio-Technology).

NITTE University Post Graduate Entrance Test (NUPGET)
NITTE University, Mangalore conducts NUPGET every year for admission to MPharm, MPT, MDS, MD/ MS Programmes in the constituent colleges, which are NITTE Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, NITTE Institute of Physiotherapy Sciences, A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences and K S Hegde Medical Academy. NITTE University also offers undergraduate medical programmes such as MBBS and BDS in the above colleges. The application form is available for Rs. 1,500.
Eligibility: Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a college recognized by the MCI. He/she should be a citizen of India. Candidate must be less than 45 years of age as on 30-4-2011.

Test pattern and selection: UG Entrance Test is conducted at several centers spread over India. The test has Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark for the correct answer and unanswered questions will not affect the marks scored. VSAT (Vignan University)
Vignan University is a ‘deemed to be University’ and it conducts VSAT, an all India entrace test, every year for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes. Branches, which are offered at Vignan, are BTech in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil, Electronics And Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical, Automobile, Textile, Mechatronics. Students can obtain the application form from Vignan or selected SBI banks for Rs. 800 (Rs. 600 for women candidates). It can also be downloaded from the website.

Test pattern and selection: VSAT entrance test is of three hours duration, in which objective type questions are asked. Each question carries four marks. There is negative marking for a wrong answer. 80% of the total intake would be in the order of merit through V-SAT’11. The remaining 20% of admissions of the total intake (‘B’ Category) would be based on the eligibility criteria of a minimum of 60% in the qualifying +2 level examination.
