Hi guyz! I am in a dilemma!! I have keen interest in joining an MNC(Electronics or Communication) & not the govt. sector. But till now there are no vacancies in MNCs. Now i have got a ray of light of joining in ISRO. But i do have an IT job offer (Accenture) that can offer me onshore oppurtunities. If i wnt to continue with my electronics career then my question is: 1. Is ISRO a great oppurtunity for young candidates like me who ultimately would leave it after 4-5 years of service and join a very good Electronics or Comm. MNC? 2. Would i get restricted to projects in ISRO which have scope in space research organizations only or i am gonna enjoy oppurtunities in all electronics MNCs related to the project? Please guyz i request you to reply fast. I need some guidance in this regard.

hi tukai... no they will not inform you... you can directly go and show your Medical performa. they have a predefined set of medical tests to be conducted for Class 'A' gazzated officer. You have just to go there.

Myself from West Bengal.We will be receiving some details about time,venue for the medical tests from the Director Of Health of our respective states...isn't it? It is not possible for us to know what tests to undergo before receiving any notification.

@yogesh:hi yogesh for medical test you will have to take the letter to the addressed hospital and take the date for medical board . they will give you date on which you will have to report at the hospital. medical will be conducted on that day and report will be given to you. it is a routine medical checkup for every gazetted post. need not worry about it at all.

I can get the relieving letter when i complete 3 months in present company... @Manish, With the offer letter,they have given one acknowledgement letter. We have to send that letter to the ISRO to the address mentioned in it on or before 21.02.2012... It is to confirm that you accept the terms and conditions in offer letter and you give assurance that you can able to join on 16.03.2012

hi...frnds....regarding medical test, I saw a letter addressed to Director of Health Services, Trivandrum... there is no form in that apart from the letter.... so if I want to get fitness certificate from any state medical board, Is it necessary to get som standard medical fitness form from outside and get it filled from the concerned hospital and send ?.....

hi everyone, i am too selected in final merit list. some of my college seniors are already working in isro at trivandrum centre since 2010. at present they are getting aroud 34k. for the first year they were getting around 30k. they said we will b getting more than 31k as govt has increased d.a. and also they payment varies as per place of posting. about quarter they said, it is a process of more than a year so it better to take a flat on rent....

yes u shud leave IIT for ISRO if you wn't to work in Govt. sector b'coz evn after MTECH , u have to go to reserch field plus space technology is one of the most advance technology and you cn learn dat only in ISRO in India...India still have many milestones to achieve in Space... however if you wn't work in private sector thn it's ur choice....bt in that case also....u cn jump to private sector after 8 to 10 yrs of service to some heavy packg dat u may nt gt nw. b'coz ISRO'S exp counts a lot

if u claim tht u r doin m.e also if you are earning stipend, then u may need to produce relieving certificate...but that u can easly get by showing the copy of ur offer letter...nothng to worry in this regard..

somebdy ws asking abt salary...it is between 44000 and 45000, i am nt sure of the performance related incentive scheme...which is "20 % of basic" that is given in a cummulative form after 6 mnths or one yr, drdo is getting that ......if that is true....salary is no issue

those who want to give resignation, call isro and tell your matter that, i have to give resignation notice period one month and can i do tht...so that they can tell u the actual date of dispatching the offer...they are supposed to tell in such genuuine case...so you can ask them and confirm tht it will be surely reached us withing a week time...in this will be responsible more than you/us..for the date or time they are telling.

Guys i finished my interview in NRSC hyd, on 29th and my rank is 14(EC) They asked me only basics from my selected subjects digitals and edc.. In digitals they asked me about logic families and adder ckt, memories etc whereas in edc only tunnel diode they asked and after that my project, in that also nothing just title and my explanation thats all... so my interview is around 15min only Anyway i can say im not satisfied with that bcoz i thought that they may ask in depth So guys do anybody knows about written test weightage whether they consider it or not please tell me????

Its almost 6 months from the date of written test for scientist selection. Almost accounts officer exam which was held along with us, they have finalised the released the list saying who are qualified. We can see the list of selected candidates who had given the interview in the month of april 2011.They have released the final list in the month of september 2011. I think all vacancies have been filled up by this and again IISC students recruitment process so I think there are no vacancies. If though selected they will give u appointment order for the next year. For this I am waiting for the past 6 months even leaving my present job like a fool.

noone knows about cut off marks.we dont know how they will short list candidates .they have announced so many ranking may be they will short list according to degree percentage and ranking. we can not say that only candidates within 1000 ranking will be cald. they may be having some other criteria which we do not know

Talked to a senior officer in isro. He said that the last date for iist candidates to join isro is today. Then they have given a deadline for iit candidates to join. Only after that depending on the remaining vacancies they will call us. The number of vacancies after iist and iit candidates join, will be very less, according to him.

Earlier 2008 I attended ISRO interview on june 21. Unfortunately i didn't get it.I got intimation on June 6th 2008 thru mail and by post on May 31 2008.WIth in 20 days written results were announced. By june end interviews completed. By August 1st final list was out. My interiview mates have joined ISRO on Sep 10th. This year they have taken so much of time to announce the results.In 2008 they updated directly in the application status.Now that option is not available in the present website. Directly contact ISRO, bangalore by calling they are responding positively they are giving positive response. When i called them regarding the results they informed the tentative date of the written test results

Hi, the pdf of marks and ranks of ppl attending the 16-04-2011 isro exam for CS says the following. NOTE : Candidates will be short-listed for interview to the extent of operable vacancies as on 01/08/2011 in the order of merit with respect to marks secured in the written test held on 16/04/2011 But I have not got any call for interview. How can i know if the call letters for interviews are dispatched or has any one received interview call. kindly reply.
