      AEE (Amrita engineering Entrance) 
      Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts its Engineering Entrance Examination every year on an all-India basis for admission to the 4-year B.Tech Degree programmes with 1240 seats offered in the 3 campuses at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).

      Eligibility: A pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class 12) or its equivalent securing 60% marks aggregate in PCM.

      Exam date: April 22, 2012.

      Test pattern and selection: There will be only one question paper of 3 hours duration containing 120 objective type questions in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. Each question carries 3 marks. Negative mark will be awarded for each wrong answer. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of the B.Tech programmes through counselling, based on their ranks in the entrance examination.

      Banasthali Vidyapith Entrance Test
      Banasthali University is an all-women university. It offers a range of courses. It offers B.Tech in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering. The students are admitted to the various B.Tech programmes through a common aptitude test. Candidates need to fill only one form for applying to multiple B.Tech programmes. The application fee for the Entrance Test is Rs. 800.

      Eligibility: For admissions to the various B.Tech programmes, a candidate should have secured 60% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. Students who pass the qualifying examination from Banasthali School should have obtained 50% aggregate marks.

      Exam date: June 03, 2012

      Test pattern and selection: The test paper consists of various sections namely: Physics and Chemistry; Mathematics comprising 40 questions each; and another section on Logical Reasoning comprising 20 questions. The test is of 150 minutes. There is negative marking for each incorrect answer.
      Admission to the B.Tech courses at the university is based on the combined merit of 50% marks in the All-India Aptitude Test and 50% of normalized aggregate percentage in 10+2.

      Christ University Entrance Test 
      Christ University offers multiple undergraduate and courses in various disciplines. It offers B.Tech courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The admissions to all these courses are done on the basis of a Common Entrance Test conducted by the university. In 2011, spot registrations were also conducted for admissions to B.Tech. The application fee for  B.Tech entrance was Rs. 1000 in 2011.

      Eligibility: Candidates who have completed PUC (10+2) or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

      Test pattern and selection: A candidate needs to take a common entrance test for applying to any B.Tech programme. The details of the test are mentioned on the E-admit card. Candidates get the E-admit card when they register.

      Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology
      The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offers three undergraduate 4-year BTech programmes in Avionics, Aerospace Engineering and Physical Sciences. The admissions to these programmes at IIST are done through an All-India Admission Test (ISAT). Candidates can apply online only. The application fee for GEN/ OBC male candidates is Rs. 600 and for SC/ST/PD and all female candidates, it is Rs. 300.

      Eligibility: Candidates need to be citizens of India. Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories should have obtained minimum 70% marks in aggregate in their Class X or equivalent examination, SC,ST and PD category candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate. In 10 + 2 or equivalent examination, the candidates (GEN and OBC categories) must secure at least 70% marks in the aggregate in their Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) papers and for SC,ST, and PD category candidates, the minimum marks required to appear for the Entrance Test is 60% aggregate in their PCM papers.

      Test pattern and selection:
      ISAT is an objective type questions based test and consists of sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
      The admissions to all the undergraduate programmes at IISST are strictly based on the scores obtained by the candidates in ISAT.

      KEE (KARUNYA UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING ENTRANCE) 
      Karunya University was founded in 1986 as Karunya Institute of Technology. In 2004 it became a deemed to be university and was subsequently renamed as Karunya University. KEE is held for admission to around 1400 B.Tech seats. The cost of the application form is Rs. 750.

      Eligibility: A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate in PCM and a minimum of 60% in Mathematics individually.

      Exam date: April 28, 2012

      Test pattern and selection: The entrance examination is of 2½  hours consisting of objective type questions from PCM syllabus of class 11th and 12th.
      After declaration of result the Karunya Single Window Counselling is held at Karunya University and the seats will be filled based on the Karunya Entrance Examination Rank and the availability of seats.

      KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology)

      KIIT University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in various disciplines at its constituent colleges. It conducts the All India KIIT Entrance Examination (KIITEE) for admissions to the various courses offered by the university. There is no application or examination fee for KIITEE in 2012.

      Eligibility: Candidates applying for B.Tech, B.Tech and M.Tech - Dual Degree (5 years) & B.Tech and MBA-Dual Degree (5 years) courses should have passed 10+2 examination in 2010/2011 with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together. Students appearing for their 10+2 examination in 2012 are also eligible to apply.

      For B.Tech and M.Tech (Dual Degree) Biotechnology course, the candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology taken together. For B.Tech Lateral Entry course, the candidates should have completed three years diploma course in Engineering securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education of any State.

      Test pattern and selection: KIITEE will consist of objective type questions. Each correct answer fetches 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answer. The test paper is divided into multiple sections. The questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology based on the 10+2 syllabus. All admissions to the B.Tech and other UG courses will be based on candidate’s performance in KIITEE.

      Lingaya’s University Entrance Test
      Lingaya’s University offers a number of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and doctoral courses in multiple disciplines. It offers Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, BCA, BBA and various Engineering programmes. It also offers an MBA programme and four years integrated BBA and MBA programme and a five years integrated BCA and MCA programme. Other courses offered by the university include M.Tech, BEd, MEd, PG research programmes and three years diploma programmes in Engineering. The admissions to the B.Tech programmes are done on the basis of an Entrance Test conducted by the university. The application fee for the test is Rs. 700.

      Eligibility: BTech: The candidate should have completed 10+2 examination from recognized board obtaining minimum 60% aggregate with English, Physics, Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Graphics Engineering and Maths as subjects. The upper age limit for admission to all the courses with eligibility criteria of 10+2 is 21 years.

      Test pattern and selection: The Entrance Test for admissions to the BTech programme is based on questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and General Knowledge subjects.

      Noorul Islam University (NIUCET)
      Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education was declared as a Deemed University in 2008. It conducts its own entrance exam NIUCET for the admission for various courses run by the university. For B.Tech admission it is not necessary to write the entrance examination if the candidate has AIEEE score or score in the examination conducted at All-India level by a competent authority. The cost of application form is Rs. 550.

      Eligibility: The eligibility for admission to all UG and PG courses are as per State government/ AICTE/ UGC norms.

      Exam date: May 6, 2012

      Test pattern and selection: The syllabus is based on Maths, Physics and Chemistry at the standards prescribed for the plus two Academic stream of the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Education.
      Admissions are made on the basis of rank obtained by the student in the entrance exam conducted by the university.

      (SAAT) Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University

      Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University conducts the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT) - a National Level Entrance Test for admissions to the various programmes offered by the institute’s constituent colleges. The university offers the B.Tech programmes in nine different specialisations at Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), one of its constituent colleges. Application fee: Rs. 750.

      Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physic and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Informatics/ Statistics as one of the subjects and should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) taken together in the subjects mentioned.

      Exam date: May 12, 2012

      Test pattern and selection: SAAT is a objective type question based Entrance Test.
      Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the Entrance Test marks. Shortlisted candidates need to attend an open counselling for admission into various programmes in the University.

      Sathyabama University Entrance Examination
      Sathyabama University offers a range of Engineering courses (BE and B.Tech) in multiple disciplines. The university conducts the All-India Entrance Examination called the Sathyabama University Entrance Examination for admissions to its programmes.

      Eligibility: For most of the B.Tech and BE courses, candidates should have passed HSC (10+2) from any State Board/CBSE/ICSE with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as subjects. For B.Tech in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering, candidates need to be 10+2 qualified from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology as subjects.

      Exam date: April 15, 2012

      Test pattern and selection: The test is divided into multiple sections. It comprises 60 questions each in the Mathematics and Biology sections and 30 questions each in the Physics and Chemistry sections.
      Admissions are based on the marks obtained by a candidate in Entrance Examination.

      Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya Entrance Test
      Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya offers various courses under the faculties of Sanskrit and Indian Culture; Engineering and Technology; Science; Management, Human Resources and Commerce; Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Faculty of Education and Faculty of Health Science. The faculty of Engineering has seven different departments. The admission to all these departments in Engineering is based on the Entrance test conducted by the university. Candidates can also apply with valid AIEEE score. The application fee is Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST category candidates).

      Eligibility: candidates should be 10+2 qualified with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

      Test pattern and selection: The test consists of 90 multiple choice questions and is divided into three sections namely Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Each section will have 30 questions.
      Admission will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Entrance Test. A separate merit list will be prepared for candidates applying through AIEEE.

      Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education All India Entrance Test
      Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education runs various programmes in Dental, Medical and Engineering disciplines at its constituent colleges. Admissions to the similar courses will be made on the basis of an All-India Entrance Test conducted across different test centres. The application fee for the test was Rs. 1500 (for three subjects) and Rs. 2000 (for four subjects) in 2011.

      Eligibility: Bachelor of Engineering - The candidate should have passed PUC or 10+2 or HSC or Equivalent examination  with Physics , Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination and should have secured at least 50% marks taken together in the optional subjects. English should have been a compulsory subject.

      Candidates seeking admission to BE need to have valid Entrance Test score.

      SRMEEE (SRM ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM)
      SRM University is one of the top ranking universities in India with over 20,000 students and 1,500 faculty, offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. SRMEEE is conducted each year for admission to its B.Tech course. Application form costs Rs. 750. SRM University has almost 5,000 seats available for engineering stream.

      Eligibility: Candidates should have scored at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th.

      Exam date: May 06, 2012

      Test pattern and selection: The paper is of 2 ½ hours and consists of objective questions from the following subjects: Physics-35 questions for a total of 105 marks, Chemistry-35 questions for 105 marks, Mathematics-35 questions for 105 marks, Biology-50 questions for 105 marks. There will be negative marking of 1/3rd of the total marks allotted to each question for an incorrect answer.

      VITEEE (VIT ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAM)
      VIT was founded in 1984 as Vellore Engineering College. In 2001 it was accorded the status of a university by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). VITEEE form is available for Rs. 950 and is held for admission to Bachelor’s courses in Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology.

      Eligibility: A candidate should have passed class 12th examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% in PCM.

      Application deadline: February 29, 2012

      Exam date: April 21,2012

      Test pattern and selection: VITEEE is of 2½ hours duration and has 120 objective type questions from class 12th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Maths and or Biology. One can either appear for Biology or Mathematics or for both. There is no negative marking in the examination.
      Successful candidates are called for counselling in batches and allotment of branches is based on the rank they secured in VITEEE.

    • I think, you did not give any reference of manipal engineering entrance test. Is manipal is not good university? I listened it has 8th ranking in engineering private colleges. Also tell it is good university for engineering or not? Because I am applying that university for engineering.
