Benefits: These training programs are aimed at providing additional employability training in IT skills and ITeS which the students can undergo as add on courses along with their regular classes.
Eligibility:
IT Skills courses: 10th pass/ 12th/ITI/ Diploma/Graduates/Undergraduates candidates from SC/ST/Minority categories with annual family income less than Rs. 2.0 Lakhs
ITeS-BPO (customer care) / ITeS-BPO (Banking) courses: 10+2 pass candidates from Women/ SC/ST/Minority categories with annual family income less than Rs. 2.0 Lakhs. However Graduates/Final year/Diploma holders having good English communication skills shall be given preference.
Minority Categories (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Zoroastrians (Parsis): as per Central Government notification

Dates, Duration, Timing:
The courses will be starting in August 2012.
- Courses 1 – 10 are of 72 hours duration.
- Course 11 is of 180 hour duration
- Course 12 is 300 hour duration.
Note: The candidates have to undergo the training weekly 3hrs/6hrs for 3 months/5months depending on the course selected and will be generally scheduled on holidays (Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays etc or in the evening.) so that they can attend the courses without affecting their regular studies.

Fee:
The course is fully sponsored by the Department of Electronics & IT, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India and selected eligible candidates need not have to pay any fees for attending the training. Selection of candidates will be on merit basis based on the marks obtained in the examination for educational eligibility and will be limited to the number of seats available and other terms and conditions stipulated by the ministry.
