SINCE 40% of our weightage in ranking parameters goes to output of a college, we had decided from the initial years that we will not rank institutions which have not graduated at least two batches. The only exception we have made is for the new IITs, select IIITs and NITs, which begin with substantial brand equity thanks to their lineage.

But colleges do express an interest in participating in our survey process. Many even send us the completed questionnaire and we will include them in our forthcoming almanac. Some do have enviable infrastructure and substantial research orientation. We would hope to include them in the ranking process as soon as they fulfill the eligibility criterion. But so as not to deny our readers the opportunity to include new colleges in their consideration list, we present a list of colleges that have explicitly expressed interest in participating in our rating process.
