Better Score of 2 attempts applicable @ CMAT 2013-2014
AICTE has announced the option of two attempts per student, the better score of which will be applicable for admission for CMAT 2013-2014.

The first of the Common Admission Test (CMAT) windows for the academic year 2013-2014 will be between September 27 and October 1, 2012. Students will be given a second chance to attempt the exam in the same academic year. The better score of the two will be taken into consideration for admission.

The AICTE had released the schedule for the CMAT and other details on July 30, 2012. This is the first time the AICTE will holding the test twice, giving all the students an option of choosing the better score while applying for admission. However, it is not compulsory for a student to appear for a test in both windows.

According to SS Mantha, chairperson of the AICTE, this decision was to combat the criticism that the students are left with no option if they don't do well in the test. He further stated that students can treat the first test as a practice session since the better score of the two is applicable.
