WHAT IS ONCOLOGY ?
UG: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as core subjects. Independent entrance tests for UG programme (MBBS) are conducted by various state, central and private universities.
PG: Candidates must hold a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery along with an MD in General Medicine after which, they ought to have a good score in entrance tests held for DM in Oncology conducted by various state, central and private universities.
SCOPE OF ONCOLOGY
- Hospitals all across India need qualified and competent oncologists capable enough to diagnose all sorts of Cancers.
- Since breaking the news of cancer is very difficult to a patient, competent and subtle oncologists good at this are very highly paid and very much in demand all the time, with the rate of cancer spreading these days increasing alarmingly.
