Hey,
Yes, you can appear in IISER exam. Candidates can apply to IISER by one of these three channels-:
• KVYP Channel: Kishore vaigyanik protsahan yojna
• JEE Channel: Joint entrance examination
• SCB Channel: State and Central Board channel. Students who pass their 12 boards in science stream(PCM or PCB) with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards are eligible to apply through SCB.
There is an aptitude test for SCB candidates which consists of Multiple choice questions in four subjects-: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology.
All the best!
Hi Ramkrishan,
You can apply for IISER admission either through KVPY or SCB channel. For SCB channel, you have to appear for aptitude test conducted by the admission authority. In the case of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), you will be offered admission on the basis of valid KVPY fellowship. However, you will also need to check and meet the eligibility criteria for the channel and institute.
You can check IISER admission process here- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/iiser-admissions along with the IISER eligibility criteria
Also, do refer the KVPY eligibility criteria
Thanks!
