I have 95% in Class X, 87.4% in class XII (Science) and 75% in boards. How much percentile should I aim at for getting into top 6 IIMs?
Answer (1)
The Indian Institute of Management releases new admission policy every year for each of its campuses. Based on this policy, candidates successful inCAT examare granted admission.
Every IIMs admission policy is different from the other so the candidates must read the policy of their target IIMs thoroughly to understand the process.
The difference mainly lies in minimum CAT percentile cutoff and the composite score. In the top six IIMs the minimum cutoff is usually 90 while in the newer campuses the cutoff remains at 80. Similarly, some IIMs allot more weightage to Personal Interview than CAT and some allot more to academic profile.
