GEC Barton Hill Placements

The Career Guidance & Placement Unit (CGPU) of Government Engineering College, Barton Hill imparts skill-based learning both technical and non-technical. The team consists of the Principal, the Coordinator, Faculty Members and Student representatives. Not only does the GEC placement unit provide training but it also organises mentoring sessions, interactions with industry professionals and more. The GEC Placement unit guides students with ideas and supports their entrepreneurial ventures. Many big recruiters have visited the GEC campus and have given students good job offers.

For the GEC placements in 2022, more than 450 offers were made and students were offered GEC's highest packages. 140+ offers were made alone in the IT department and around 130 offers were made in the Electronics and Communication department.

Placements

Placements are very less and placement cell is not very good. The highest package offered is 5lpa. Lowest offered is 3lpa. Average salary is 3.5 lpa. Almost all the companies that visited were IT companies. The college offered placement training to us months before the starting of placements. That was pretty good and helpful. Among the 400 students in one batch nearly 150 were placed in the year 2018 and placement statistics went lower after that

Both are good colleges for civil engineering...
College of Engineering is the first engineering college in Kerala it is rated with AAAA(very Good)
Government Engineering college,Baraton Hill is rated as AAA+(Good)

Since you cant avail reservation you are at disadvantage. The previous cutoffs for all major branches range between 2000 and 7000 for the general category.

You can only get information technology at bartonhill.
