Acharya Institute of Technology offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering. Undergraduate courses include Bachelor of Engineering (BE) while postgraduate courses include M.tech. Admission to various courses will be done through entrance examination. For B.Tech courses, candidates have to appear in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and afterwards appear for counselling. Admission to BE courses is also done through management quota (direct admission). Candidates who want to seek admission in M.Tech courses have to apply and appear for Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) or Karnataka PGCET and afterwards have to appear for Karnataka PGCET counselling.
Undergraduate Programme
Admission to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses will be done through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or through direct admission.
Through Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)
Candidates have to appear in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test. Application form for CET will be available in online mode on the official website of KEA.
Qualified candidates have to appear in open single window counselling along with the documents for verification.
Final admission will be done on merit basis as per score obtained by the candidates in the CET and the choice of candidates during counselling.
Through Direct Admission
Candidates have to apply for the programmes or course for which they want to apply. They can apply through the online application form available on the website or can visit the institute along with their documents.
Once they fill out the application form, a counsellor will get in touch with and check whether the candidates meet the eligibility requirements.
Afterwards, candidates will be offered admission and have to make fee payment in order to confirm the admission.
Post Graduate
Admission to postgraduate courses will be through entrance tests (GATE or Karnataka PGCET).
Admission Through Entrance Test
Candidates have to apply for the Karnataka PGCET. The application form will be available on the official website of KEA.
Candidates have to appear for the Karnataka PGCET.
Candidates who have appeared in GATE need not to appear in Karnataka PGCET but have to register for it.
Separate merit list for GATE and PGCET will be displayed by the conducting body.
Qualified candidates have to appear for the counselling process along with documents for verification purposes.
Final selection of the candidates will be done on merit basis as per GATE or PGCET score and choice made by the candidates during counselling.
Well stocked library, teachers help students with resources. Practical discussions around case studies takes place often. Digital materials are provided for the academic purposes. Industrial visits are arranged twice a semester.
I am doing my B.tech course there. I would like to do something in that field. I guess yes, the curriculum is up to date. Acharya college always refresh their books and study materials. Studying in my college makes me sure that I am job ready.
All the faculty are well trained and qualified. The faculty both have academic and industry backgrounds to provide students with better exposure. The institute has good industry connection to provide students with interships and site visits.
