Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad was established in 2001 under the patronage of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). It is a private college affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal. ACDS Secunderabad UG course includes BDS degree with a duration of 5 years whereas the PG course covers MDS degree in six specialities. The ACDS Secunderabad admissions in the college at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels are subjected to rankings in the NEET-UG and NEET-PG examinations respectively. Most of the seats in the college are reserved for the wards of army or ex-army personnel.

The college enrols students to the undergraduate BDS programme on the basis of the NEET-UG score and All India Rank of the candidate which is followed by the counselling conducted by KNR UHS. The ACDS Secunderabad admissions are mostly reserved for students belonging to the Indian Army background. Candidates seeking admission to the MDS programme must qualify for the NEET-PG examination with relevant marks.
