Bangalore Institute of Technology has started its admission process for the year 2021. For admissions to MBA programmes for the year 2021, Students are required to take an entrance test either CMAT or KMAT. The registration window for KMAT closed in October 2020. 

For admission to B.Tech courses, admission will be done on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) or COMEDK. Admission to M.Tech courses will be offered on the basis of scores obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or Karnataka PGCET or the entrance test conducted by the university. Bangalore Institute of Technology conducts a separate entrance test for admission to its MCA programme. Selected candidates are required to report to the institute for document verification and fee payment.

BIT B.Tech Admission Process

Candidates are required to follow the following instructions in order to be a part of the admission process: 

• Candidates are required to download the application form from the official website and send the filled application form to the registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University.

• Students are required to appear for the entrance exam - JEE Main or KCET examination conducted by BIT. 

• Students are required to meet the BIT B.Tech cutoff requirement to qualify.

BIT M.Tech Admission Process

Candidates who want to get admission into M.Tech degree programme are required to follow the following steps:

• Candidates are required to download the application form from the official website and send the filled application form to the registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University.

• Students are required to appear and qualify the entrance exam - PGCET or GATE. 

• Students need to meet the cutoff criteria for M.Tech.

Candidates who want to get admission into MCA degree programme are required to follow the following steps:

Admission to BIT B.Tech degree programmes is provided on the basis of KCET or JEE Main or COMEDK UGET score. It is compulsory for candidates to successfully pass the entrance exam and meet the cutoff criteria. The cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing rank. BIT B.Tech admission is carried out in following stages:

• Candidates are required to register themselves for the qualifying examination they are appearing in - KCET or JEE Main or COMEDK UGET. 

• Candidates are required to appear in the exam and successfully clear the qualifying exam with the cutoff rank/score. 

• Candidates are required to download the application form from the official website and send the filled application form to the registrar of Visvesvaraya Technological University.

• Students are required to participate in the Bangalore Institute of Technology counselling process.

Bangalore Institute of Technology offers admission to M.Tech degree programmes under three specialisations - Machine Design, VLSI Design & Embedded System, and Computer Network Engineering. Admission to M.Tech courses will be offered on the basis of scores obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or Karnataka PGCET or the entrance test conducted by the university. 

Admission to BIT M.Tech degree programmes is provided on the basis of PGCET or GATE score. It is compulsory for candidates to successfully pass the entrance exam and meet the cutoff criteria. Bangalore Institute of Technology offers admission to MCA degree programmes on the basis of PGCET or CMAT and merit sheet prepared by the university. For admissions to MCA programmes for the year 2021, the registration window for CMAT was open until 19 October 2020. The admit card for CMAT 2020 was available from 27 October 2020 to the day of the examination. CMAT examination was held on 29 October 2020.

Bangalore Institute of Technology does not offer any scholarships. However, students are eligible to apply for the government funded scholarships which are provided on the basis of reservation.
