Yes, NEET exam is mandatory if you want to take admission in BAMS or BHMS in India.

BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and BHMS stands for Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, if you wish to pursue any of the above said courses from India than you have to appear for NEET examination and should score well.
