Not sure about concession in which field you are talking about since SC, ST students get concession in each and every aspect of their education. Right from counseling till final admission in college SC and ST students get concession in cutoff, percetile, fees, and many others. The cutoff for admission to any branch or discipline in your selected college varies largely from that of OPEN category which makes you more susceptible to acquire these seats even at low score. Not only CBIT, any engineering college would allow students to do internships. It may be in second year or even in first year. Internships are something which gives student the real knowledge about any course. Doing more internships ensures you more practical knowledge and provides you more scope for getting placed at big MNCs during your placements.

The real challenge lies in getting internships. If you do internships in some reputed companies, you may include it in your resume too.
