Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Tumkur offers admissions to diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Tumkur offers seven undergraduate programmes. The UG courses offered by CIT Tumkur is B.E/B.Tech in seven specialisations. The course duration of B.E/B.Tech is 4 years. To be eligible for CIT Tumkur B.E admission, candidates must have secured  an aggregate of 45% marks in the optional subjects (Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science as optional subjects) in two years of pre-university examinations.

CIT Tumkur Admission Procedure- B.E/B.Tech (Through COMEDK UGET)

• First, candidates have to meet the required eligibility criteria for CIT Tumkur B.E admission.

• Eligible candidates are required to register and appear for the entrance exam- COMEDK UGET or JEE Main.

• After the declaration of results, ranks and cutoff are released.

CIT Tumkur M.B.A Admission Procedure

• First, candidates should meet the eligibility criteria for CIT Tumkur M.B.A admission.

• The KMAT/ MAT scores are also accepted for CIT Tumkur M.B.A admission.

• Then, PGCET counselling is conducted based on rank obtained in Karnataka PGCET.

Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Tumkur offers five Ph.D programmes. The institute offers diploma programmes in five specialisations. The course duration of the Ph.D programme is 6 years. The required eligibility for CIT Tumkur Ph.D admission is that the candidates should hold a master’s degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or it's equivalent from a recognised university.

CIT Tumkur Ph.D Admission Procedure

• Candidates have to apply online on the official website of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and submit an application form along with all required documents for CIT Tumkur Ph.D admission.

• Candidates should appear for the Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test (VTU-ETR) conducted by the university.

• Candidates who have qualified UGC- NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ CAT or any other national level test are exempted from the VTU Entrance test (VTU- ETR).

• Then, eligible candidates have to appear for a personal interview with the Admissions Committee at VTU, Belagavi. 

• The Admissions Committee prepares a merit list of the candidates based on their performance in the entrance test and personal interview.

• Later, the Admissions Committee submits the consolidated merit list to VTU for facilitating the provisional registration of candidates as per their rank in the list. 

• Candidates are offered admission based on their rank in the merit list.

• For the final admission, candidates have to get all their documents verified and pay the CIT Tumkur admission fees.
