    CIT Tumkur Admission Process

    Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Tumkur offers admissions to diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.     CIT Tumkur admission to Ph.D programme is offered based on candidates' performance in the Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test (VTU-ETR) conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The UGC- NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ CAT or any other national level test qualified candidates are exempted from the VTU Entrance test (VTU- ETR). Further, candidates who are shortlisted have to appear for a personal interview. The submission of requisite documents and payment of admission fees is the final step in the Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology admission process.

    CIT Tumkur Admission Procedure- B.E/B.Tech (Through COMEDK UGET)

The course duration of M.B.A and M.Tech is 2 years. To be considered for CIT Tumkur M.Tech admission, candidates must have obtained an aggregate of 50% marks in B.E. / B.Tech. examinations (in relevant field) of VTU or any other examinations recognised as equivalent thereto.

    CIT Tumkur M.B.A Admission Procedure

    • First, candidates should meet the eligibility criteria for CIT Tumkur M.B.A admission.

    • Candidates have to register and appear for the entrance exam- Karnataka PGCET.

    • The KMAT/ MAT scores are also accepted for CIT Tumkur M.B.A admission.

    • Then, PGCET counselling is conducted based on rank obtained in Karnataka PGCET.

    • In the counselling process, candidates have to give their first preference to CIT Tumkur.

    Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Tumkur offers five Ph.D programmes. The institute offers diploma programmes in five specialisations. The course duration of the Ph.D programme is 6 years. The required eligibility for CIT Tumkur Ph.D admission is that the candidates should hold a master’s degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or it's equivalent from a recognised university.
