Chengalpattu Medical College, Chengalpattu Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

There are 2 gents hostel viz the old hostel and the new hostel. A new hostel for the postgraduates is under construction. The old hostel accommodates the IInd year, prefinal and the final year students. The new hostel accommodates the freshers, interns and the postgraduates. There are 55 rooms in total . The hostel is equipped with a library which contains numerous books and articles. The hostel office is provided with a Wifi router. The TV hall for the students can hold 20 students. Our college also has a gym for gents where all of the latest equipment are available. Treadmill, cycling exercise, dumbells and multistation are some of the many types of equipment that are available.

There are 3 ladies hostel viz 2 old and a new hostel. The old hostel accommodates the IInd year, prefinal and the final year students. The new hostel accommodates the freshers and the postgraduates. Ladies interns are staying in another hostel near the hospital. Gym for the ladies is also available.

The library is well equipped with thousands of books. Numerous journals and magazines also adorn the shelves. It has separate readings rooms for the professors and for the students. An own book reading room is available for the benefit of the students. The library also houses the student council room.

Sports facilities are plentiful in ChMC. Huge grounds for cricket and football are there. 3 badminton courts are present within the examination block. Volley ball courts and basket ball courts are just oppsite to the gents gym. All the necessary sports equipement is present.

The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.
