CEC Chirala Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Boys Hostel has 36 rooms and can accommodate about 300 students. The hostel rooms are spacious, adequately ventilated, well maintained, and furnished with necessary accessories. The hostel, in addition, has a general store for provisions required by the students. The hostel runs a mess. A separate TV room and reading room are provided in the Boys' Hostel.

The college girls' hostel has 16 rooms, which can accommodate about 90 students. The hostel rooms are spacious, adequately ventilated, well maintained, and furnished with necessary accessories. The hostel, in addition, has a general store for provisions required by the students. The hostel runs a mess. A separate TV room and reading room are provided in the Girl's Hostel.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has to ensure a sound body and mind, students are given special attention to health and fitness. A modern gym, with all the latest gadgets, has been set up in the College separately for girls and boys. The trainer is available.

The college has established a spacious library and Information center in the main Block with an area of 660sqm • It is divided into different sections like Stack area, Reading area, and News Papers • Section, Digital library, Technical Processing Section, Journals Section & Reprographic Section. • It is having a collection of more than 38200 volumes. • It is having a collection of more than 110 National and 30 International journals. • It is having a collection of 1020 Specimen copies and 1150 Donated copies of books • It is equipped with automated library Software. • It has a total capacity of 650 members to sit and refer to. • Established a Digital library for E-resources and also 750 CDs. • Usage data of the Library (in terms of Books issued to the faculty & students etc): 3 books per student for a period of Fifteen days and 15 books per staff for a period of Semester. • Book bank will be provided for a student based on his request.

The college sports infrastructure comprises facilities for indoor and outdoor games. There are well-maintained outdoor fields for cricket, football, tennis, volleyball, athletics, and so on. It has an indoor stadium built to international standards for badminton, table tennis, etc.

The College has a dedicated Internet Leased line of 20 Mbps connected to all the terminals throughout the Campus. Students and faculty are free to access the internet. This helps the students to prepare papers on the latest technologies to be presented in various symposiums and seminars.

The college cafeteria is open to students, staff, and any other visitors to the campus. It serves with quality and wholesome diet to the students. Its area is well suited to have a peaceful munch. Intense mental exertion exerts a toll on the body. That is why we’ve spared no expense to provide students and staff (as well as their guests) with on-campus access to tasty, nutritious, and affordable food. The spacious cafeteria building easily accommodates large and growing student populations and the extended hours make it the perfect spot for a sustaining snack in the middle of a busy schedule in the pursuit of knowledge. A large Mess Hall with a capacity of a minimum of 1500 members to dine at the same time enables all students and staff to have lunch and breakfast. A large modern kitchen with steam cooking is attached to the mess hall. A modem bakery unit and stationery unit are attached to the mess. There is a separate room one each for boys, girls, staff, and VIPs’ in the Mess Block to dine.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college also provides transportation facilities for the convenience of staff and students to take them from all major destinations in Chirala and adjoining areas to the campus and back. The college provides a daily transport facility for the convenience of day scholars.

The access speed enables the Students and Staff to download and upload files at a fast rate(digital library). A Wi-Fi Facility is also been provided on the campus.
