The infrastructure is good but the campus is small. The classrooms are well-maintained but there are no smart boards which is a limitation of this college. There is no WiFi facility in the college; canteen has affordable food but it lacks in variety. The sports department is not up to the mark but the ground is well-maintained. The college is renowned for science courses and the laboratories are well-equipped.
I pursued B.Com from CEC as I have always had an inclination towards commerce and management. The teachers were not as experienced as other colleges, some colleges consisting only PhD holders. The curriculum was updated though, but the course structure of B.Com itself did not commensurate with the current requirements of skills demanded by the market. The course was just an extension of our 12th class academics. Overall, the academics lacks practical learning and other projects.
The placements in the college is not something one would look for or take pride in being an alumnus of CEC. There is no official recruitment drive in the college; companies randomly visit the college and hire students without any predetermined protocol. The placements are pretty average for the science students, though the average package is still low. The college does not endorse job-oriented students whatsoever, hence making it difficult for them to find jobs in an off-campus scenario.
The college is a bit expensive, and the absence of even the basic amenities makes the fee demanded unjustified, and rightly so. The yearly fee was around 30k which is not reasonable whatsoever. There are no other activities to engage in which makes it all the way more disappointing. Personally, I did not find worth my penny.
The campus has good faculty and cooperative support staff, but that not an end in itself. The location is in a developed place and there are places to hang around. There is a medical room but it lacks the basic apparatus, and one cannot vouch for such a service capable for handling emergencies. There are some active societies like the music and dance society to help students hone their skills, but other societies remain dormant throughout the academic year.
There are some fests in the college to look out for, but mediocre academics and poor placements make CEC a last option to consider.
Hello student
It is not yet decided about which mode the exam will be conducted offline or online mode. I think the colleges are waiting for instructions from the government and as soon as they get it they will surely inform y"ll about it . And also they will inform you beforehand so that you can prepare your lessons accordingly.
Hope it helps!!
