It is one of the oldest in India.....It is government autonomous college... Infrastructure is very old and give the feel of Hogwards in Harry potter series.... :-) Campus is nice, green and sheady but divided in many parts...traffic is the main problem while going to one part from other..... Hostel life is good... Food is also good and affordable.... The whole year is full of extra curricular events...there is technical fest called Mind Spark...cultural fest called Impressions...National level inter college sports fest Zest.... Boat Club is main attraction of college... It has a 89 years old fest called Regatta... And what not in college.... Definitely a wonderful college.. ...

Reviewing COEP

COEP is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia, after IIT Roorkee. You will be surprised to know, but when you ask a COEPian or an alumni about what he loves most about the college, you will get a unanimous answer - it's extra curricular activities. From designing vehicles that compete in international student events and stand out at the top, designing robots every year and winning accolades at the national technical events, giving awesome performances at the state & national level events of arts, dance & music, to having a separate club for astronomy lovers, you name any activity & COEP has a club for it! We even have our own boat club where you can improve your kayaking skills.

Which college and why

My institute provides a fantastic opportunity for all-round development. It has used the freedom afforded to it as an autonomous institution judiciously, providing a range of subjects and electives we would need to have an edge in the corporate world. Guest lectures are held frequently and the college has a good placement record. The only thing it lacks is a good infrastructure. Since it has no gate or board announcing the college name, it is not very well-known among the locals though it is one of the best colleges around. There are also many opportunities to develop one's all-round personality in the college. There is a wide range of fests and events which are all completely student-managed, due to which almost every student in the institute learns some managerial skills along the way.

COEP - Wings to desire

COEP is a brand. COEP, we all know the progress of the college. College basically lags in infrastructure, but college is adding its budget to improve its infra by renewing it. The student crowd is amazing. Students are intelligent having some desire with them. Being with such students made my life enjoyable. They all help each other. Placements are good, about 85% students get placed.
