Some teachers are good but overall quality of education needs to be improved a lot. Teachers are generally loaded with nonacademic work, so don't give much attention towards lecture content and overall teaching. Curriculum is not updated and its upto MU to change the course structure as a lot has been changed into mechanical engineering field and more focus is now onto mechatronics area.
I studied Mechanical Engineering from DBIT. The quality of teaching is excellent as all the teachers have practical experience in their respective fields. The study has a lot of practical and industrial exposure thus making the students familiar to the industry standards and cultures.
DBIT is a private minority engineering college which is affiliated to MUMBAI UNIVERSITY . As our college follows MUMBAI UNIVERSITY guidelines,so the quality of syllabus is same as others engineering college affiliated to MUMBAI UNIVERSITY BUT what makes DBIT apart is the quality of teaching staff. They all are supportive & extremely good at their subjects. Institute use technology to enhance quality of learning - use of moodle, a open source LMS software.
Hello Bob,
As per your question , I would recommend you to take dbit Mumbai cs/it because I have this opinion that in case of private college taking a core branch is not a wise option because the placements in 90% of the private colleges is not up to the mark.
In case of dbit Mumbai cs/it you will be having numerous opportunities and would have the benefit of receiving higher packages than the core branch. In core you would receive majorly packages ranging from 4-5 L per annum.
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
Thoppilan Romal Devassy and Kannan Sunder both natives of Mumbai are seventh semester students of the computer science branch in BITS, Pilani and have created history by being offered a whopping $ 2,35000 annual package (more than 1.44 Cr) by Google in 2013.
