The college has As we all know "Health is wealth", the institution takes extreme care of the health of the young learning community. The institution offers free medication and treatment to the stakeholders of the entire GGI students and staff. Medical facilities are provided to the staff and students through the Health Care Centre with an ambulance facility located in proximity to the campus. Apart from that for better health check-ups of the students, GGI has associated with the Midland Hospitals Haldia and the Medical Officer manages the various aspects of the facility.

The college has A well-equipped gym on the Campus having the latest instruments and machines has ensured better fitness and health facilities for the students, faculty, and staff members of GGI. The availability of such facilities of multi-gym for the students (both boys and girls) & for other staff members at the campus, operated by trained personnel is included in our future provision.

The college has given a tremendous enabling environment that focuses on the 'room for the birth of ideas. The library is a major magnet for students as not only does it offer a variety of academic information, it also stimulates the intellectual pursuit of students in a lovely ambiance. The library is open from morning till late evening and even until midnight during examinations. Apart from books on technical subjects related to discipline and courses, it houses books of general interest magazines and daily newspapers. Well equipped with journals in print, both national and international, the library supports the research needs across varied disciplines. There is membership of the library for the students and staff through which they can access library services anytime, GGI subscribes to various online journals and books which can be accessed through a given ID and password. Along with it has a different newspaper section where students can update and be aware of themselves by availing the facility of reading the newspapers of various languages in the library.

GGI provides the basic facilities for such activities in terms of playing Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Chess, Volleyball, Football, Tennis, Table-Tennis & Yoga. Annual competitions in all such games are conducted by the Students’ Sports & Cultural Committee each year. Our physical fitness and good health infrastructure - Basketball Court, Football Ground, Cricket Ground, Volleyball court and some indoor games, etc. - is amongst the very best in the region With a view to developing the all-round personality of the students, the GGI administration is committed to giving plenty of opportunities to students in sports as well as other extracurricular activities.
