Girls Hostel: GEC Barton Hill has a girls hostel with all the modern facilities and amenities such as well furnished rooms, 24*7 drinking water, geysers, indoor games room, television etc. The hostel has a total of 53 rooms and accommodates 216 students from undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Library: The library of the college has a wide collection of books, periodicals, bound volumes, e-resources, e-books, e-journals etc. The library uses the LIFSOFT library software to provide open access to a variety of resources.
Sports: The college has a sports ground for playing a variety of sports such as badminton, volleyball, cricket, football etc.
Cafeteria: The institute offers spacious cafeterias with a seating capacity of 100 members that serve healthy and hygienic food for the students and faculty members.
Auditorium: The college has an auditorium with audio-visual facilities for hosting a variety of events such as guest lectures, speaker sessions etc. A variety of cultural activities are also hosted at the auditorium.
Medical/Hospital: The college has a medical centre that takes care of the emergency needs of the teachers and students. A doctor on call facility is available to students and faculty members for any medical emergencies.
WiFi: The college offers WI-Fi connectivity on campus for the practical learning purposes of the students. A Wi-Fi controller known as Ruckus Zonedirector 3000 kept in the server room manages the Wi-fi access.
IT Infrastructure: The institute is a member of the National Knowledge Network (NKN) which connects a variety of major educational and research institutions. The college receives 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps) of bandwidth from NKN.
Transport: GEC Barton Hill offers transport facilities to the students. Three buses operate on different routes and cover the entire stretch of the city Triruvananthapuram.
Laboratories: The college offers spacious and well-furnished departmental based laboratories for the students. Some of the labs are- CAD Lab, Heat transfer laboratory, metrology and instrumentation lab etc.
- Girls Hostel
We have a wonderful building at the corner of our college – Ladies Hostel , a secure home for the female students. This hostel is constructed in an Eco friendly manner to provide a green and fresh breath to its inmates. This is filled with 53 rooms which can accommodate 216 students including both M.Tech & B.Tech students.It provides an attractive shelter to the students, as it is adorned with spacious rooms, proper lighting facilities, study tables and required furnishings. Each of its 4 floors (including base) is lined with long verandas, which gifts you a sweet path due to an open quadrangle located at the center.
- Medical/Hospital
The college has health center with first aid facility for the students.
- Library
The library has a collection volumes consisting of titles in different domains of Science and Technology including chemistry, mathematics, physics, & management. Besides General Collection, the Library has segregated specialized collection having separate collection codes
- Sports
The college has the sports facilities for all students.
- I.T Infrastructure
The Central Computing Facility of the college has been set up in the EC/IT Block. It has a central server room, a lab facility of 70 desktops, UPS room and printers/photocopiers. An extension to the CCF is being operated in the Old IT Block as Internet Lab / language Lab. CCF is being managed by the Department of Information Technology.
- Cafeteria
The Canteen is a small building with a seating capacity of hundred members have separate area for the staff and students. A variety of refreshments and meals are available here.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

College Infrastructure
Our college provides all the basic infrastructure and they are well maintained. Hostels arw student friendly with wifi connections. There is a sports Centre and a resourceful library. The living spaces are clean. The college canteen provides very affordable and hygienic food.

College Infrastructure
The college is a very a small college with an area of just 5.5 acres. Hence the space is just enough for all the classrooms and Labs. The labs for ECE and IT is very good and well equipped. But the labs for electrical and mechanical is under construction and would be make proper in one year. Due to space limitation, hostel inside the campus is available only for girls. The whole college is well equipped with WiFi service and is accessible from everywhere. The sports facilities are almost zero.
College of Engineering, Trivandrum or Government Engineering College, Barton Hill,Trivandrum. which is best collage to do b tec in civil engineering ?
Both are good colleges for civil engineering...
College of Engineering is the first engineering college in Kerala it is rated with AAAA(very Good)
Government Engineering college,Baraton Hill is rated as AAA+(Good)

Governmant engineering college, Barton hill, has good infrastructure , good facilities but the institution has only hostels for girls
and there are no hostels for boys which they could avail.
