GEC Kozhikode imparts technical education to students and offers courses in the engineering domain. GEC admissions are offered in B.Tech and M.Tech programmes in various specialisations. For GECK B.Tech admissions, candidates are required to participate in the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examination and the selection is based on merit. GECK M.Tech admissions are based on a rank list that is prepared using either the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores or the percentage of marks obtained in graduation up to the sixth semester.

Candidates can get admission to GEC B.Tech courses in 3 ways namely: B.Tech (Regular), B.Tech(Lateral) and B.Tech Spot admission.

Candidates first have to meet the eligibility criteria and then appear for KEAM, conducted by CEE, Kerala.
GECK B.Tech selection criteria depend on the entrance test and academic marks.
After the declaration of the results, cutoffs are released and ranks will be allotted.
Candidates meeting the cutoff or whose names are on the rank list have to appear for online counselling.
While registering for counselling, candidates have to lock in their preferences for the desired college.
Seats will be allotted on the basis of merit scores of the entrance test (50% weightage) and merit scores of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology together at 10+2 level (50% weightage).
Finally, selected candidates have to submit the documents, pay the fees and confirm the admission.
Candidates can get admission to GEC M.Tech courses in 2 ways namely: M.Tech (Regular) and M.Tech Spot admission.

Candidates must fill Kerala M.Tech application form on the official website of DTE Kerala.
Candidates must appear for GATE based on which a rank list is prepared for selected candidates.
In case of insufficient GATE-qualified candidates, seats will be filled from among Keralite candidates on the basis of the rank list prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained up to the 6th semester in the qualifying exam.
Candidates whose names are on the rank list are qualified for admission.
Finally, to confirm Government Engineering College Kozhikode admission, candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.

There are 60 seats available in the B.Tech programme at Government Engineering College Kozhikode.

Well I think not every branches are performing an outstanding performance in academics. But our civil department is great in academics . The faculties are very much dedicated and supportive. And also we are performing very well too.

Government Engineering College, Kozhikode, is an AICTE approved college, and admissions are done completely on merit basis. The fees for general students, for chemical engineering is 52.84K, for the entire duration of course. The placements are pretty good here, with average placement being 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary package being 5 LPA.
