GEC Kozhikode offers engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. GEC courses include 6 UG courses and 5 PG courses which are B.Tech and M.Tech in multiple disciplines. All the courses at Government Engineering College Kozhikode are AICTE-approved and affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerela, also known as Kerela Technological University (KTU). GEC B.Tech and M.Tech courses are in multiple specialisations like applied electronics and instrumentation engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer-aided process design in chemical engineering, chemical engineering, structural engineering and more.

The duration of the GEC B.Tech course is 4 years (8 semesters) whereas for the M.Tech course, it is 2 years (4 semesters).

For GEC UG courses, admission to the third semester of the regular full-time engineering degree programme (B.Tech) under the lateral entry scheme is open to diploma holders who have secured a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). However, they must pass the Entrance Examination conducted by the State Government for the lateral entry scheme to be considered eligible.
Yeah we have good infrastructure in our college. We are having clean living spaces and hygiene food in our college hostel too. college facilities are improving progressively. But some space limitations are existing.

Government Engineering College, Kozhikode, is an AICTE approved college, and admissions are done completely on merit basis. The fees for general students, for chemical engineering is 52.84K, for the entire duration of course. The placements are pretty good here, with average placement being 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary package being 5 LPA.
