The central library has more than 60,000 books and journals .Besides the central library each department has their own libraries that help the students to access books of a particular domain.The Central Computing Facility(CCF) is a centralized computer center for students and staff.The CCF is equiped with over 200 desktops and 1Gbps NKN Internet connectivity.Co-operative society ,Canteen facilities are also available in the college.Post Office & Bank, Dispensary are also situated in the campus.

I am pursuing my B.Tech in ECE .The total intake for ECE branch is 66. 6 seats are allotted for Lateral entry for diploma holders.A part time B.Tech degree course with seat intake of 45 is provided for diploma holders in ECE. We have a well qualified faculty and an effective teaching system.The practical sessions and project works help the students to learn beyond the syllabus.

The major recruiters include TCS, Tata Elxsi ,TARENTO, KPIT, Mitsogo, Infosys, Incture Technologies, Bosch, Oracle, Reliance, Huawei, Mahindra etc.Over 430 students were placed last year.The highest salary package was 17 LPA. The average salary package is 4.85 LPA. The Placement Cell functioning in the college has a great role in preparing the students for their dream jobs.

The fee per year for B.Tech course is around 17,000.There are a lot of scholarships awarded for students who perform well in their studies.

The college campus spread over an area of more than 75 acres.A fitness center and multi gym facility is available in the college.Various clubs that promotes Cricket, Basket ball, Chess, Fencing, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volley Ball, Hockey are also engaged in the college.Oasis is the pain and palliative care unit functioning in the college. Dyuthi is the national level multi fest organized by the college that showcases the students cultural talents as well as their technical skills.

GEC Thrissur has really been a good influence on me.I recommend this college to everyone who wishes to pursue B.Tech.

The college provides great infrastructural facilities.It includes labs,workshops with great machines.The college also has gym facilities which is greatly used and well maintained.There is also a nice football ground and a hockey ground.

The academic session are carried out properly by the staff.The quality of teaching is very high and is very helpful for the students.The students also have access to the library which has large amount of useful books.

The college provides great placement opportunities for students.Most of the students in the college gets placement offers. There are various companies which give placement offers to students. There is also a placement cell in college for providing placements.

The college fees is negligible.since it is a government college ,the students only have to pay less fees.The college is too less when compared to other colleges and it also provides fee bus service for students.

The campus is very large. It is almost 75 acres of land including the hostel.The college has a nice gallery which is a great ambience.The campus life is very nice .There is also many other club activities where students can engage.

The college have all necessary infrastructure facilities. The college was established in 1958 so it's infrastructure has that old glory. Since it's availing government benefits infrastructure is improving day by day

The college has got well qualified and experienced teachers. It's also a campus which calls for self learning. The college offers all the facilities required for academic excellence if you properly utilize it.

This year the placement was low compared to previous year. Last year one of the core company in civil that is multiplex came for recruitment with a package of 17lacks and 2 of the students were taken. Last year about 454/520 students got placement but this year it's about 400. In other departments too core companies are coming apart from IT companies. Overall it's good.

Since it's a government college course cost is very low.Inclusive of academic, hostel and mess fee it will be about 48000 per year. If you are availing any scholarships it will be even less.

The best part about gec is it's campus life. The freedom that gec offers is something that every youngster dream off. Everyday there will be some activities ( arts/sports/academic events). It's also a politically active campus(healthy politics). If you are looking for a good campus life it's the best college even better than NITC

Gec is the third best engineering college in Kerala after NITC and CET. Spreading over an area of 75 acres the college offers one of the campus life. Currently it has valid NBA accreditation so it will be availing central government benefits apart from State government benefits. In NIRF ranking 2020 it was ranked 164 the third best engineering college in Kerala and second best under Kerala technical University

College infrastructure is old and prestigious. Campus looks so old still we find an excellent college campus with a wide area for all sort of naughtiness. The campus was like a home for us as we enjoyed more than our real home. The grouping outside was the main time of gossipping. We just dont want the infrastructure presently to modify or built more we just want them the way they are there.

The faculties are well experienced and graduated. They come to class and gives the lecture as if no one cares. Its not the proffs fault but all the students will be engage in one or another way for the nearest function or busy in chatting or seeing movie. But the marks for the exams are also not compromised by them. Thats why the academics are still on high here.

We usually gets a lot of placement opportunities here. There are lot of companies big, small or co orporates coming here for placing the students. We have a good exposure in the nearby cities as we does quality projects before the last year gets over. The alumnis are excellently active they are the reason by which more and more companies visiting the college for the placement.

As it is a government college we just need to pay a fees of 18,000 per year for the course and this is only for the general category students. The dormitories are excellent and filled with fun which we feel really feel so. There is also a big college ground, Which is now a common ground of that region used by common people too. the city quite near for us to hangover with friends.

The only thing i feel lacking is that the campus is built years back. So the classes are not like that of the tiles one but just cement with cracks. tables and benches arent in good condition allover the letter, names of fans all are carved. Except this the campus life is so charming and memorable. We feel like living a life there.

Festivals here are a part of the society there are many audience for a small fest even. The villagers are also supportive from heart.

Since this is a Government college, hi-tech facilities were not available. But all the required facilities were there. College giving importance to both curricular and extra curricular activities. We got chance to initiate technical meet and workshop.

Best teaching staff. All the teachers are highly qualified and experienced. The curriculum should be more updated with the recent developments in the field. To fit us for job-ready, we should hardwork apart from academic portion.

No proper placement cell. All went for off campus placement and only few were placed in Multi National Companies. Others later joined in Government and public sector companies. Placement cell should be more active.
