Government Medical College and Hospital Nagpur is spread over an area of 196 acres. All the departments started operating within a few days. In the beginning, the college was started in the Engineering School campus, Sadar, Nagpur. The college initially started functioning with only undergraduate programmes, but now offers admission to postgraduate programmes in various disciplines. All the courses are approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Government Medical College, Nagpur is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik. GMC, Nagpur offers diploma, UG, PG and doctoral programmes to the students. The College has various infrastructural facilities for the students and the facilities available at the college are library, boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel, gymnasium, laboratories etc. It provides vigorous learning environments to the students. The college gymnasium is equipped with modern gym equipment. Apart from this, Government Medical College facilities list also includes laboratories and separate boys and girls hostels. All the labs at the campus have the latest equipment which allows students to gain practical experience. The college also has medical and healthcare facilities for students and faculty members. MP Scholarships will be given to the deserving and meritorious students from the College based on their academic performance. These scholarships are available to students who fulfil the criteria. Students can apply for state scholarships provided by the Madhya Pradesh.
Whereas, Gandhi Medical College Located at Bhopal has Good patient exposure, learning skills, new building with neat hostels, gym, indoor and outdoor games, spacious lecture halls and labs, great time with friends, cultural fests. There are a total of 8 hostels (3 for girls and 5 for boys). The total number of rooms in two girls’ hostels is 176 which can accommodate 252 girls. Similarly, the number of rooms in four boys’ hostels is 275 with an admitting capacity of 450 boys.
