My college is not so huge compared to other colleges. But we have great facilities such as having Idea lab, Fab lab and many more which very few colleges have. We do have our own play ground as well as basketball court but we don't have a sports faculty,we students itself train ourselves. We have a library but since technology became the centre of attraction, libraries are not used by all the students. The infrastructure maybe small but this very fact has a great advantage which is we know each other very well. We share great bond with each other.
Well I am student of Computer Science Engineering, the faculties are experienced but since my college comes under Kerala Technology University. The syllabus is outdated but there are more than 20 student clubs that provide different opportunities to learn industry related skills also my college follows a peer-peer relation that is my seniors teach me the needed skills.
Well I don't have any prior experience, but my college ranks one of the best colleges when it comes to placement. Especially in my field of interest that is Computer Science almost everyone gets placed so placement hike is more than 98 percentage. Well I am not sure of the average packages but the latest buzz was that two of my seniors from CS department was offered 50LPA .
Well I got the admission based on state merit. So per semester I have to pay around 24k. So it would be around 50 K. Also since I am a daily scholar I am not bothered by life expenses. So I am absolutely happy with the fee that I pay.
Well our college has a balance of both curricular and non-curricular activities. As I mentioned earlier our college has a small infrastructure so most of the time we come across the same faces. So we all share a wonderful bond that is we have deep connection with seniors of all branches as well as faculties from different branches. Our campus is located at the heart of the city also we have a hospital around 500m from college. So it's safe and can handle emergency situations.
The infrastructure may not be the highlight facet of the college, but it makes up with the fact that it is situated in a very good place, at the centre of the city of Kochi. Classrooms are great and well maintained, with WiFi available. There are football, basketball and volleyball courts for sports.
The faculty are really good and very well qualified in their fields. They are always available to help and guide the students in academics as well project works and technical evens. The curriculum followed is that of KTU, which is regularly updated considering the changing industry. The portions are taught in such a way that the topics important for placements and career growth are given extra importance.
The most highlight factor is the Placement records of our college. It is not just the number of students placed, but companies from the different cores come to recruit, thereby helping the students start their career on their field of interest. Every year, our college achieves 90% placements for all the students, with an average of more than 6 LPA. The highest package this year was 31.6 lakh CTC offered by Google. The Placement Cell of the college is really efficient and vital to these records.
Our college was ranked 3rd in 'Govt. Colleges with the best value for money' by the India Today Magazine, which is a testament to the fact that you get your money's worth. Considering our average pay package is really good, I can proudly say that the students are getting more than what they look forward to.
The campus life is great, there is great harmony between the students and staff. There is a lot of activities for the students to involve in, such as our techfest 'Excel', the various clubs and their activities. The location of the college is at the centre of Kochi, hence everything can be availed without any problem.
Proud to be an MECian.
Dear aspirant,
MEC & CEC are good courses and have advantages based on their field. Considering all the aspects it can be said that MEC is better than CEC. Because MEC students have more career opportunities than CEC students and salary offered is more for MEC students. Mathematics Economics Commerce (MEC) students have wider career opportunities. The jobs can be easily available after graduation for MEC students than CEC students.
MEC students can study below mentioned courses after completion of MEC in Intermediate.
Job opportunities for MEC students after graduation.
Commerce Economics Civics (CEC) students have chance to study various Arts fields. There are also good career opportunities for this field.

Hope this helps.

Hello aspirant,
An intermediate subject combination called MEC (Mathematics, Economics, and Commerce) is available. One must have completed class 12 in the science stream, focusing mostly on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, in order to pursue a B.Tech. According to MEC, you cannot pursue a B.tech or a diploma in any of the accessible engineering fields.
Thank you
Hope this information helps you.
