The Government Residential Women’s Polytechnic, Latur (GRWP) is the first women’s polytechnic college of Maharashtra and was established in the year 1994, with a vision to provide quality technical education and training to females and make them self-reliant. The Government Residential Women’s Polytechnic is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).
The college is known for its quality education in technical education. The college has established itself as a pioneer in the field of diploma and technical education. The college provides diploma courses in five branches of engineering. These branches are - computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, civil engineering, medical engineering and textile engineering.
