The admission fee for all the courses offered by GNDEC is paid either through a demand draft, online mode, or NEFT/RTGS in favour of GNDEC. The average fee for B.Tech programme Rs. 3.58 lakhs. The average fee to be paid for the M.Tech programme is Rs. 1.28 lakhs whereas the total fee for the MCA programme is Rs.1.82 lakhs.

Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by GNDEC is done through marks scored in JEE Mains (UG) and GATE(PG) Scores. Students have to apply and appear in the entrance examination. Step by step process for admission in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College is mentioned below:

Admission to B.Tech

• Candidates have to appear in the JEE Mains examination.

• Depending on the marks scored by the students a merit list is prepared by GNDEC.

• If the student’s rank is within the opening and closing rank of the cut off list he or she can take admission in the desired course.

• The final admission in the student’s desired course will be based on the JEE Mains rank, document verification as well as the fee payment.

Admission to M.Tech

• Students must score a minimum 50 per cent marks in their graduation degree.

• Students have to appear in the GATE examination.

• Students should be within the opening and closing rank of the cut off list which is based on GATE scores.

Admission to MCA

GNDEC Scholarship

GNDEC offers scholarships to students pursuing B.Tech. Scholarships are provided for students who have either been part of NCC (National Cadet Corps) in 10th or 12th standard or to the ones who lie below the poverty line.

• NCC Scholarship 

The students who have been a part of the National Cadet Corps in their school times are awarded 10 per cent scholarship on the tuition fees. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have a certificate or proof of being a part of NCC.

• BPL Scholarship

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College assists students who are financially weak. The individuals who lie below the poverty line are offered a scholarship of 50 per cent on the tuition fee.

GNDEC Cutoff

The cut off for GNDEC is released every year for admission to the B.Tech programme. The cutoff is based on the marks obtained by the students in the JEE Mains exam. Several factors affect the cut off of GNDEC. The reasons for the 2020 Cutoff are listed below:

GNDEC has a well put together placement cell which plans very well in advance how to go about the student’s placements. GNDEC’s  placement cell sends out emails or gets in touch with a prospective company in order to conduct placement drives every year. 

STAGE 1

In the first stage the placement cell contacts various recruiters through mail and sends them all the necessary documents such as placement brochure along with the invitation letter.

STAGE 2

Recruiters or companies interested in conducting the GNDEC placement drive accept the invitation and confirm their presence on the decided date of the drive.

STAGE 3

The students who wish to participate in the GNDEC’s placement drive have to register for the recruitment drive and submit the required documents that will be used during the recruitment process. 

STAGE 4

Companies and recruiters visit the college on the dates as decided in advance by the recruiters and the placement cell and deliver a pre-placement talk in order to make them aware of the basic policies followed by the company and all the doubts of the students are addressed after the formal session.

STAGE 5

Candidates are required to qualify the various selection tests, group discussion, technical interview and HR interview conducted by the recruiters in order to be eligible for the final selection. Different recruiters have different processes of selection.

STAGE 6

The students who are able to get through all the GDs, PI and tests are offered jobs.
