The Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HICET) is an autonomous college, established in the year 2000. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. The college has accreditation from the NBA. It offers B.E and M.E programs in engineering and technology. It offers B.E.programme in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Agriculture Engineering. NSS: NSS volunteers of HICET conduct a variety of activities, such as orphanage visits, awareness programs, and health camps. In addition, the NSS holds annual camps in a rural location, where students assist the residents in the development of their village.
Fitness Centre: The college has the facility of a gym. The facility ensures students' mental and physical development. At the gym, they get an opportunity to de-stress and make themselves more health-conscious.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC): The club aims to develop an institutional mechanism to create an entrepreneurial culture in academic institutions to foster the growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the faculty and students.
Industrial Relationship Cell: The IRC cell of HICET has strong tie-ups with different industries, R&D labs, and Public Sector companies. For admission to BE courses, candidates have to register for TNEA counseling where they will be offered admission on a merit basis as per the marks obtained by them in their qualifying examination. In order to take admission in ME, programs candidates have to register for TANCET counseling where they will be offered admission on the basis of their GATE/TANCET score. Admission to MBA courses will be offered on the basis of TANCET/CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score. Admission to MCA courses will be offered through TANCET counseling on the basis of TANCET scores.

Laboratory: Every department has an individual lab, and each one is provided with projectors to enable the students to visually experience the practical classes. All the labs have the facility of intranet named NETROVER on which the faculty hosts tutorials, assignments, class tests, additional learning materials, e-books, and online aptitude tests for training the students for better placement opportunities.
Hostel: The college has a separate facility of hostel for boys and girls. It is provided with an uninterrupted water supply, a reading hall, round-the-clock security, internet connection, indoor recreation, television, etc. The kitchen and spacious dining area have been provided for both the hostels and a customized menu caters to the students' needs. Hygiene and cleanliness are emphasized in the hostel. There is a lot of variety in the Menu as the hostel caters to students from all over South India and abroad.
Cafeteria: A full-fledged canteen is functioning within the campus for the convenience of the staff and students. A variety of hygienic food & snack items which includes Cakes, Fresh Juices, Chinese Food, Meals, Variety Rice, Ice cream, etc is served at a nominal rate. It is mainly used by the students and staff. Separate common rooms for boys and girls and staff are available.

Hindustan College of Engineering is located in a wide area of 200 acres. The College is in Coimbatore. The College is a ragging free Campus. As the rules are strict,there is no chance of ragging in the campus. Speaking about the facilities and infrastructure the College is good. But placements worry a bit.
