Industrial Design Centre, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai was established in 1969. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). IDC IIT Bombay is a constituent college of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. IDC IIT Bombay courses include dual degrees- B.Des M.Des, Master of Design(M.Des) and PhD. These courses are offered in specialisations like Design, Animation, Industrial Design and Communication Design. IDC IIT Bombay admissions to the dual degree programme are based on the performance of candidates in the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED). For M.Des programmes IDC IIT Bombay selection process includes qualifying for the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). Industrial Design Centre, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai conducts written tests and interviews for admissions to PhD programmes. The final step in the IDC IIT Bombay admission process is document verification and fee payment. IDC IIT Bombay facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls, a library, sports, IT infrastructure, an auditorium and laboratories.
