The IERT provides three-year engineering/technology diploma programmes. These credentials are available in a number of fields, including plastic technology, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering. The institute also provides a 1.5 year postgraduate degree in computer application and a 2 year undergraduate management diploma. IERT also provides full-time 4-year UG B.Tech degrees in fields including CSE, EC, mechanical engineering, etc. in addition to these programmes.

• The annual UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) is the means of admission to the B.Tech programme.
• Candidates for the four-year B.Tech programme should have completed the 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Math, and English as the required courses.
• The IERT entrance test is the foundation for admission to the Engineering Diploma programmes.
• Candidates for the three-year Engineering Diploma programmes must have earned a passing grade in math and science in high school (Class 10).
• Candidates for the two-year Management diploma programme should have completed the 10+2 examination and studied Hindi and English in Class 10.
• The IERT entrance test is used to determine admission to both the management diploma and the post-diploma in computer applications.

For Btech applicants, they need to pass 10+2 with Physics and Maths as a compulsory subject and qualify in the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE).
A minimum of 50% in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as required subjects and Biology or Chemistry as optional subjects for diploma courses. Students also need to appear for the IERT entrance test.

Institute of Engineering and rural Technology Allahabad Uttar Pradesh reputed Engineering College was established in the year of 1955. And marks and rank of in Uttar Pradesh state Engineering entrance  examination is minimum rank for electrical -601-1050  and maximum rank for mechanical 5,000 to take admission in institute of engineering and rural technology Allahabad w.And in 12a class atleast 60% marks and have to qualify in Uttar Pradesh state entrance examination secured at least 400 marks out of 600 marks.

According to a recent news report that this college learner of B.Tech needs to study a semester in IIT Kanpur and IIT Gandhinagar.

The infrastructure of this college is regular. There are two archives, one is a central library dedicated to learners excluding engrg. domain. An additional one is the IET library dedicated to engineering students.

Professors are adequately prepared, and a maximum of are Ph. D s from prime institutes. The education given by these teachers is promising.

Placement depends on your skills as more you can develop you will get much more in off campus placement. Here most of the students prepare for government exams and GATE.

IERT Allahabad , in this college the diploma is fully autonomous whereas the degree and management course are affiliated through AKTU which is semi government college.

So its neither a private or fully government college.
