IGE Kolkata offers admission into ten UG programmes in B.Sc, BCA, and BBA. IGE Kolkata UG admissions are done on the basis of CET exam conducted by MAKAUT. The institute also offers direct admissions into the UG courses.

The faculties are good, friendly. They help students ever they need. The only good one thing IGE has is good faculty. If you study sincerely you will get good marks. The faculty also helps academically poor students.

is there good placement in institute of genetic engineering

Hi Ayushman,

You can do either B.Sc in genetic engineering or B.Tech in Genetic Engineering.

Top colleges which offers various courses in genetic engineering:

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
Indian Institute of Science, (IISc), Bangalore.
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

When we talk about placement then there are very less job offers for Genetic engineering.A genetic engineer works with the genetic material or DNA of orgnisms to change or modify some component. Genetic Engineering graduates get the opportunity to work in medical and pharmaceutical Industries, Agriculture Industries, Research.

The average package you will get is 20k-35k per month.
