Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHM), Kolkata was established in 1963. Its primary goal is to provide high-quality education by empowering students to embrace value-based, holistic learning. IHM Kolkata offers courses in the field of Hospitality, Tourism and Sciences. Only eligible students candidates can apply for the courses at IHM Kolkata by filling the application form. The institute also provides several facilities for the benefit of the students. IHM Kolkata also placed around 600 students in reputed organisations by conducting placement drives.

IHM Kolkata Courses

The institute offers Diploma, UG and PG courses for the students. IHM Kolkata courses include 5 Diploma, 1 B.Sc and 1 M.Sc programme. The courses are offered for a duration of 1 year 6 months to 3 years. The branches in which courses are offered are Food Processing, Hotel Management, Hospital Administration and Hospitality Management. Students should meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institute to fill the application form.

IHM Kolkata Admissions

Before applying for admission at IHM Kolkata, students should check the eligibility norms. Admissions at IHM Kolkata for diploma and PG courses will be done on the basis of the candidates' performance in the qualifying examination. While admission to the UG courses will be based on the performance of candidates in NCHMCT JEE. Seats will be allotted to the students based on the All India Rank. document verification and fee payment process will be held at the college campus.

IHM Kolkata Scholarships

The IHM Kolkata does not directly grant scholarships, however, it does offer a number of financial aid opportunities that students can apply for on the relevant official websites. The official websites that students can visit to apply for the scholarships are National Scholarship Portal, e-kalyan scholarship portal, Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K (PMSSS) and many more.

IHM Kolkata Placements

The institute has a placement cell that provides training to the students so that they are well-prepared for the final placement drive of IHM Kolkata. According to the placement statistics for 2022, 413 students were placed, while 608 students got placed this year (2023).

IHM Kolkata Facilities

Laboratories, separate hostels for boys and girls, sport, gym, cafeteria, library are some of the facilities offered by the IHM Kolkata. Students can visit the laboratories to get some practical experience. Sports and gym for the physical fitness of the students, a cafeteria to serve food to the students at a reasonable price and a library with a varied range of books, magazines and videos on hotel management.

IHM Kolkata Location

The institute is located at P-16, Taratala Rd, CPT Colony, Alipore, Kolkata, West Bengal. The nearest railway station is Brace Bridge Railway Station. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is the nearest airport. The distance between the airport and the college is 27.1 km and will take around 1 hour to reach the campus. Students can take a cab or a bus to reach the IHM Kolkata.
