K J Somaiya Institute of Management has released its interim placement report for the 2021-23 MBA batch. The KJ Somaiya Placements 2021-23 saw 92% placements, with the highest salary at INR 22.50 LPA. At the placement drive, 132 recruiters, with 20 first-time recruiters, participated in the final KJ Somaiya MBA Placement 2023 and made offers across BFSI, Consulting, IT & ITES, Manufacturing and FMCG. Banking, IT and Financial Services were the leading sectors that hired more students. 

KJ Somaiya also released its summer internships report for the 2022-24 MBA batch, with 41% placements. The KJ Somaiya Summer Placements 2022-24 witnessed the highest stipend of INR 1,08,000 per month, with an average stipend of INR 35,506 per month. As the summer internships process is ongoing, 70 recruiters, with 15 new recruiters, participated and offered KJ Somaiya students internship opportunities.

KJ Somaiya has a placement cell, known as the Career Management and Corporate Relations Team, that looks entirely after the KJSCE Placements at the institute. The KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Mumbai placement cell sends invitations to companies, and the interested companies reply with their confirmation. 

The placement cell also conducts pre-placement talks. Post this, companies conduct interviews and shortlist students based on their academic and interview performances. After the final selection, the companies roll out final offer letters to the candidates. The students are also taught, mentored and counselled by leading industry experts and professionals.

KJ Somaiya Placement Cell organises training programmes such as Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshops and more. It also invites Human Resource Managers from diverse industries for training programmes for final-year students. The institute's placement cell has also initiated a student job information portal which provides insights about various job/internship opportunities throughout the year.
