KHIT Guntur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College provides a separate hostel facility for boys. The boys' hostel is located on the college campus. Strict discipline is followed in the hostels. The students are not allowed to use any electronic gadgets (i.e. cellphones, laptops, walkman, etc.). The Hostel daily provides breakfast (with milk/coffee), lunch, Snacks (with milk/tea), and dinner. There are separate Hostel committees for boys’ hostels headed by conveners, which monitor the running of hostels.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has Indoor games also in an area of nearly 300 Sq.m, which is furnished with a Gymnasium and accommodating indoor games like Table Tennis, Caroms, Chess, etc.,

The College proposed Integrated Campus has a centralized library. The area of the library is 500 Sq.m. to facilitate stacking and reading area, E-class room and computer facilities for a digital library. A well-furnished reading hall is provided with the required books of reference in different subjects.

The college took the responsibility not only to provide the necessary infrastructure that helps the students to inculcate a good habit of playing games but also to develop sportsmanship and comradeship. The college is provided with Indoor games also in an area of nearly 300 Sq.m, which is furnished with Gymnasium and accommodating the indoor games like Table Tennis, Caroms, Chess, etc., to horn the skills in the respective games as well as to enhance the physical fitness of the students and faculty. The college has IT Infrastructure with computer labs. It is proposed to build a centralized computer centre with the latest hardware specifications, server, and LAN / WAN facility to produce competent engineers having higher technical proficiency, professional skills appreciation of societal responsibility. It will be in a Centralized Air Conditioned area. This center will be constantly upgraded with state-of-the-art systems.

The college has a spacious canteen facility on the college premises and is run by the college management. A variety of south Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college at highly subsidized rates with the highest quality. The canteen has a big kitchen with a steam cooking facility and kitchen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen. Food items are prepared with RO-treated water.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college is providing transport facility to our students only from Guntur to College and back covering all points in Guntur town. All the buses start at Guntur at 8.00 a.m. and back at 4.40 p.m.There is a Transport Committee with staff and students with 50 members observing transport facilities for students and maintaining discipline and anti-ragging in the buses. The Committee discusses the problems regarding transport facility and takes disciplinary action if necessary.

The College Alumni association of this institute is called KHITAA i.e. Kallam Haranadhareddy Institute of Technology Alumni Association.

All stationery items are made available in the stores at reasonable rates, fixed by the college management. It also provides light refreshments like packed snack items, cakes, veg. puff, beverages, etc to the students and staff of the college.
