Kalyani Government Engineering College, Nadia was established by the Government of West Bengal in the year 1995. The institute is also known as KGEC Nadia. KGEC is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology (MAKAUT) formally West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and the college is an autonomous institute. The programmes offered by the institute are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi. Kalyani Government Engineering College, Nadia offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students.

hello sir/ madam, between Kalyani Government engineering College, Jalpaiguri Government engineering College ,and IEM, Kolkata,which should be a good option for engineering in computer science and electrical engineering? (I am are general category students and belong from West Bengal)
see the all three of the institute is best to study computer engineering and electrical engineering. see cse and Electrical is two different stream. basically in government engineering colleges core engineering like electrical, mechanical and information technology placement is best. so in case you are interested for computer science and electrical engineering I have rearrange the colleges as follows.

Should have been a permanent resident of West Bengal for 10 consecutive years as on December 31, 2021.
Candidates will also be considered eligible if their parents are permanent residents of the state with a permanent residential address.

There is no Mop up round in WBJEE counselling. The WBJEE counselling consist of three rounds and two rounds of counselling for JEE qualified students. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has released the seat allotment result for round 3 counselling. First round seat allotment result for WBJEE counselling through JEE Main has also been announced. The counselling authority allots seats on the basis of choices filled and the WBJEE score obtained by the candidates and after that on the basis of JEE score.
