Bachelor of Technology in Automobile Engineering is four years full-time course. Approved by AICTE and affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. With a mission to create techno excellent engineers, the department is established in 1983 with intake capacity of 60 students. Automobile engineering department in our institute is one of the oldest and unique four years degree course affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur. The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty and is known for its high academic standard, well-maintained discipline and complete infrastructure facilities.

Admission Process

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate:- 1. The obtained score in MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

All India Candidature Candidates:- 1. The obtained score in MHT-CET or JEE Main Paper I.

Eligibility Criteria

1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate:

  • The Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks,in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects or taken together.
  • Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates or belonging to Maharashtra State only).
  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
  • The obtained score in MHT-CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

2) Direct Second Year B. Tech. For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate:

  • The Candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.
  • Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject. Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second-year subjects.

3) PIO, Foreign National Students:

  • The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks.
