Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics Engineering is a four-year (8 semesters) full-time undergraduate program offered by the Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai.
Electronics is a very broad field that naturally partners with other disciplines to open up new Engineering avenues like Automation of Industrial Processes, Robotics and Machine Vision, Embedded Systems, Biomedical Engineering, IoT and Artificial Intelligence with Automotive Electronics (e-Vehicle).
Due to rapid evolution in all the above fields, Engineers are required to possess proficiency in both hardware and software to access a full range of careers in technology for the betterment of mankind. In short, Electronics is required everywhere from toys to aircrafts.
Eligibility Criteria
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects (Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects) and obtained at least 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. (at least 45% marks in case of Persons with Disability).
- And
- The candidate should have appeared for MHT-CET 2021 /JEE-Mains (Paper-1) 2021 / SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)/ PERA-CET 2021 Exam and should obtain a non-zero score in this qualifying examination
Admission Details
A candidates will be eligible to apply if she/he has a non-zero score for Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) / JEE-Main (Paper-1) 2021 /PERA CET-2021 / MHT-CET 2021 examination.
There are following phases of admissions:
- Phase 1 based on Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)
- Phase 2 based on JEE Main Best of Two (Feb /Mar 2021)
- Phase 3 based on JEE Main Best of All 2021
- Phase 4 based on PERA-CET 2021
- Phase 5 based on MHT-CET 2021

College Infrastructure
Yes the college has tha necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. All the classrooms are well equipped. The laboratories have all the necessary and well updated equipments. The libraries also have all types of necessary books.

College Infrastructure
The college has all the necessary amenities and it is fully connected by somaiya wifi throughout the campus. The labs have all the facilities that a practical might need. Specially the electronics laboratories have the machines and equipments that is required for the experiements.
