Masters in Marketing Management is a three-year part-time course offered by University of Mumbai, Mumbai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
The Master degree in Marketing Management (MMM) programme aims to equip the students with a holistic and all-round grooming as required to be successful in the field of marketing and its’ allied industries by providing them with state-of-the-art facilities and latest in trend curriculum. The program comprehensively focuses on providing students with the sound knowledge in all the three aspects of industry requirements namely; strong conceptual learning, technical insights and application design and development. The subject board of marketing comprising of experts from industry as well as academics meets twice in a year to revamp the curriculum. The meritorious students are also invited during the meeting to get their input. Accordingly, the courses from Marketing comprises of Brand Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Research, Rural Marketing, Business to Business Marketing, Retail Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Services Marketing, CRM etc., which are extensively covered. Apart from the core courses; students are given option to choose from some electives and are also encouraged to take some value-added courses. The new and contemporary courses such as Digital Marketing, Shopper Experience Management, Marketing of IT Services etc. are being introduced in this part time Masters in Marketing management program. The MMM program helps students to rethink their career options into upcoming fields like Digital Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Brand Management, Social Media Specialist, Market research, Digital Media Strategist, Content marketing, Business to business tech sales etc. The institute facilitates a full project for the students during the fifth-semester. The institute invites the experts from industry as well as academics to take sessions on emerging trends in marketing.
Shortlisting will be done on the basis of the Somaiya Entrance Test (SET), followed by Personal Interview and Written Communication Test. Suitable weightage is given for relevance of work experience and past academic record.
Bachelor’s degree of 3-year duration from any University recognized by AIU/AICTE. Minimum two years experience after graduation in supervisory/ executive position.
