Hello aspirant
LSR BA(hons) Political Science is the better option over DTU Mechanical engineering for a civil service aspirant as you can choose Political science(PSIR) as your optional and it is a very scoring subject in comparison to Mechanical engineering as optional also political science as a subject will help you in GS as well as prelims whereas mechanical engineering wont. You will find so many aspirants in your class and well as in your college as DU is hub for civil services aspirants .
Hope this helps.

Hope it helps you !
Thanking you !!
Dear Jaahnavi,
I would suggest you to first decide which course are you most interested in. Choosing your area of interest is always the best choice you can go for. And, bsc. Statistics as well as b.a economics both have great scope in future.
The scope of Bsc. Statistics includes business analyst, research officer, data analyst or even an investigator. Statisticians are also required in the government sector to work on studies and research on consumer prices, fluctuations in the economy, employment patterns, population trends etc. Whereas, B.A economics have scope as Fi nance and Budget Analyst, Banker , Market Analyst, Economist, Business or Economic Writer etc.
Go for the one you are most interested in.
Talking about colleges, both of them have great reputation and placement records. The faculty is highly qualified and supportive. Choose your interest and go for it. You will definitely succeed.
Hope this helped.
Good Luck :)

Hello dear ayushi
Hope you’re doing well
Most of the university of delhi colleges like Lady shri ram colleges BA hons psychology not B.sc psychology.
I will tell you the difference between the two.
The primary difference between the two disciplines lies in the coursework and syllabus; BA Psychology as a discipline is oriented towards liberal arts while BSc psychology is more technical and scientific with a focus on maths and statistics.
BA Psychology is ideal for students who have a liberal arts background and wish to pursue a career in fields like counselling, education, social work, journalism, law while BSc in Psychology is for students with a science background who wish to enter the medical profession or study neurosciences.
Hope this information helps you
Please ask if you have any more questions
All the best for your future
Hey Sofia!
Although both Jamia Millia Islamia and Delhi University are quite reputable and established, I would recommend Delhi University for undergraduate education. DU excels in terms of infrastructure and campus life. Even in education, DU has got the best professors. And as for good colleges in South campus in Delhi University, Gargi College, kamala Nehru College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Delhi College if Arts and Commerce are some of the best colleges in South Campus.
Hi,
The cut off in Lady Sri Ram College is generally very high for students willing to take admissions to any course but this year there is a lot of confusion regarding the marks scored by students in their boards so the cut off may vary considerably. So, nothing can be confirmed this year. However, 96.5% is a good score & this year you may have a chance to get admission in B A Honours in Journalism.
Hope this helps.
Hello,
If there is any other course that equally interests you as much as history, then you may give it a though to pursue major in the same along with having history as elective, this way you can also prepare for upsc having history as optional at least you will be well acquainted with the syllabus, and talking from the perspective of UPSC, you can go for graduation in political science, geography, economics, public administration, sociology to name a few as there is considerable overlap of the syllabus of these subjects with that of general studies and optional subjects, the rest is up to you, think clearly about your choices and then make a decision regarding it, you can also discuss it with your parents, they too will be able to guide you better by providing their inputs, but eventually what matters is your choice, your interest and this should be aligned with your career goals,
All the best!
In 2020, the first cut-off in Lady Shri Ram college, DU for B.A. programme was 94.5% (1st cut off) for OBC category.
It was 93.75% in 2nd cut off for OBC category. After that the admission was closed for OBC. It again opened in 6-7th cut off depending on the subject and dropped down to 91%. So , you can check the cut offs accordingly and hopefully you’ll get the admission. All the best!
College infrastructure is very nice and friendly environment and dome area is really beautiful where trees and flowers are planted as a selfie point. The media lab psychology lab is very well preserved. Campus is neat and clean.
College infrastructure is too good, from outside it looks like some movie setup or something,It has no hostel facility, campus remains clean n tidy, so it is hygienic, no smart wifi board, old furniture like old chairs n tables, sports section is too good nice playing ground for football library is upto date.
College infrastructure is very good as it so big and the facilities here are up to the mark. Library here is very big and classes are very good. Hostel here is available but also mandatory for all so think before taking admission as hostel is mandatory here.
